Kraves Pizza & Restaurant — Restaurant in Denville

Now that the dust has settled with Kraves Breakfast & Lunch grand opening, paid them a visit on a rainy Sunday for a late morning breakfast with my kids. Was happy to get a seat as soon as we arrived, and happy to see other customers were there and the place was at near capacity. The menu was vast with many options to choose from. We ended up ordering the Sweet Morning Crepes (Your choice of strawberry or banana with whipped cream & powdered sugar or chocolate syrup), Kraves Chorizo House Skillet (Onions, peppers, pepperjack cheese & basted eggs), and the chocolate chip pancakesnwith a side of bacon. I thought the portion size was perfect and left full and satisfied! While I know many people prefer large meals, I would rather eat a full meal and have nothing leftover, than try to reheat food the next day. It is never the same. All in all, it was great breakfast and a great new addition to downtown Denville. Like most restaurants nowadays, the menu pricing is if you pay in cash, and there are signs that state this. If you pay be credit card, there is a small credit fee which is almost a norm nowadays. While it really does not impact me, It is nice to know to bring cash to avoid the credit card surcharge. I wanted to give this place a chance but don’t like Nickel and diming. Called up on Thursday to order 2 pies, website said Monday-Thursday 24.99 /2 plain pies and a soda. Person on phone says that special is only Monday to Wednesday, I said maybe you should check your website, then they realized and said oh ok , you’re right it’s Thursday too. Proceeded to order and asked if they can make sure to put a little extra sauce on pie, (pie ordered previously barely had sauce)…. I Ask for total before hanging up and they say 35 cash or 37 credit … I do understand the recent tactic of places charging 3-5% for credit cards , but why did it go from 25 to 35 …. Oh you wanted extra sauce on the pizzas and that’s another 6 dollars …. I then said , cancel it , I’ll order from Denville Pizzaria instead

Sorry … it was $1.50 for half meatball on one of the pies… and $6.00 for sauce ? First time I’ve ever seen pizzaria charging for sauce like it’s a special topping lol.. that’s nickel and diming like a car...

We decided to try this place on a whim and we were not disappointed! It’s nice, clean and simple on the inside. The menu has a big variety of both breakfast and lunch so everyone could definitely find something they liked. Half of our table ordered lunch and the rest breakfast so we could get a good sampling of the menu. Everyone said they really enjoyed their dish. I ordered eggs Benedict that was good but would probably order something different next time. The pancakes on the other hand were SO SO good, perfectly fluffy and buttery with a slightly crisp edge. Would definitely get them again and maybe even try the oreo or blueberry ones! The savory breakfast crepe was also a table favorite. The meat on the gyro was perfectly seasoned and the fries were crisp. The Jalapeño burger was also a hit, the sauce was spicy and the crispy jalapeños added a nice touch. Service was good and everyone was very friendly. We definitely enjoyed our meals and are excited to come back to try more things...
