Arby's — Restaurant in Deptford Township

I did the drive through yesterday- I ordered a: -good burger (their new special—burger, fries & shake) -roast beef sandwich -Mac & cheese bites -curly fries

When we pulled around to the pick-up window, waiting for our food (that wasn’t started), an employee began SCREAMING that there was a spider, & someone has to kill it, which caused chaos amongst the employees & distracted the worker at the window. As much as I wanted to say- that’s disgusting & drive away, my mom insisted we stay & pay being that we waited that long (going on 5-10min). *When the employee working the window gave us our food- I asked if the spider was near the food,—she quickly said no & was definitely in a rush to hand me the bag & see us drive away- but I waited an extra minute and saw her mouthing to the employee “THE WINDOW IS OPEN! Don’t say spider!” As I waited- she came back over & I said, the meal comes with a milkshake that I just paid for, to which she replied “oh my gosh maam you’re right I’m so sorry, I was distracted” and she made the milkshake.

I get home, only to find that they failed to give us the Mac & cheese bites, curly fries and sauce packets (which we asked for).

Being that I have family in the restaurant business—this experience overall was a disaster from the moment we got to the menu board to order (I had to honk after 5min of no response); then the debacle with the spider, and missing food.

COMPLETE BS!! I only gave them one star because the food is good and made correctly. We visited this location tonight and the dining room appeared to be open, quite a few people were eating inside. Upon entering the employee at the register was walking up to the register to take our order and was immediately cut off by the manager (some short African American woman) who proceeded to tell us that their registers inside were down and asked us to go through the drive thru. We agreed and went back out and through the drive thru. Since there were quite a number of people already eating inside we asked if we could bring our order inside to eat. We were told no that the dining room would be closing in a few minutes. As we pull up to the window there is A LINE OF PEOPLE AT THE INSIDE REGISTER PLACING ORDERS!! After we were told the registers were down and the dining room would be closing. I'm not sure what the problem was but my children were very disappointed that we were treated this way and it was honestly embarrassing. Do they have a problem with children dining inside? My kids weren't acting out or anything so I really don't understand why we were essentially discriminated against. Sorry to say that I will NOT be coming back to this location. 2 stars is being EXTREMELY generous and that's only because they weren't verbally rude at all. Other than that: wait time was ridiculous as there was only 3 customers including me; there was only 4 employees and they all looked AND acted under 18; there was so much trash, fries, and food on the floor all swepted along the fryers they could've made a large order out of; the staff was more worried about flirting with each other than working; watched 1 dude drop trash and knowingly left it; 1 employee was dancing around because she "had to pee soooo bad" and proceeded to pull a bag of fries out of the freezer (while dropping more on the floor) and dumped it into the fryer but decided not to cook them mind you THAT was what I was waiting for the whole time; finally after waiting no lie 20+ minutes for my 2 fries....the employee (pretty sure the manager) prepared ONE large fresh new fry then grabbed a fry that I CLEARLY SAW already sitting over 20 minutes in the warming rack and put them in a bag. BUT THE WORST PART WAS a fry was dangling on the bag so she bounced the bag and the fry landed on her hand so she tossed it off her hand INTO MY BAG!!!! IN FRONT OF ME!!!! NOT WEARING GLOVES!!!! I WAS BEYOND DISGUSTED AND PISSED!!
