I looked for reputable and recommended mexican restaurants prior to deciding on La Hacienda. The extent of their menu impressed me. So many choices! Even the drink menu was promising. That thing read like a book! I, along with my sweetheart, had high hopes for this place. Somewhere we had wished to come back to after our first visit. We were seated and met by a friendly waitress. She was very attentive and welcoming at first. She prepped our appetizers and delivered with a smile. After taking our drink order, she returned with both drinks and sat them down at our table. My drink was placed in front of me and my girlfriend's drink was placed in front of her but, the waitress spilled some onto my girlfriend. Accidents happen! Everyone knows this. Without offering to clean it up or being apologetic, the waitress walked away. We both brushed it off and continued with our meal just being happy to have our table looking like it did! The waitress wasn't very attentive after this point and kept leaving us wondering where she was or when she was going to come back. After a time, the two of us decided to go sit and dine outside on the patio. We had both ordered one more drink apiece. When our waitress finally came out to deliver our drinks, she once again spilled some onto the lap of my girlfriend and other than saying "sorry", there was no response. Not a thing! Even afterward, my girlfriend was STILL wanting to give this waitress a tip! Now, I ALWAYS tip because I know that it affects their livelihood. This was the first time in over a decade that I didn't tip. Both of us couldn't understand why we were being treated like that. We definitely will not return. We almost went to Los Coco's before we decided on La Hacienda. Sometimes, it's better to go with your initial feeling. I must admit that the food, drinks, and appetizers (especially the guacamole) were great! The chips on the other hand are stale, greasy, and rock hard. Even after asking for a new batch. Cheaply made. The only reason I gave it a full star is because I couldn't give it half of one! Oh yeah, the waitress's name was Vanessa. Beware of that one. "Service...
Read moreI'm so sad it was so bad. When we sat down, we asked for extra chips, there were 3 of us and we ordered a large queso. We asked 2 other times for 2 bowls of chips. She would never bring extra. We had to wait 5 min each of the 3 times it emptied to get more chips. I ordered chicken fajitas on fries. I received steak fajitas. I pointed it out immediately. The steak was tough and chewy, so I asked that I go ahead and get the chicken like I'd ordered. I didn't even finish one tortilla with the steak. When I got the new ones, I asked for her to replace the tortilla that had gone in the garbage with the other fajitas. She charged me for the extra. And she still put the steak charge on the bill, too. My friend ordered stuffed zucchini, but they didn't serve stuffed zucchini. Just a few slices in the medley of food mixed on her plate. When asked about it, the manager was like well duh the zucchini isn't big enough to have been stuffed. I suggested they communicate this with their customers before it's served. Cause we still were not told why. We had to ask why it's not what we ordered, nor what's on their menu. They acted like it shouldn't matter that it's not what's on the menu. I asked if they would comp the queso since there were so many issues. A man walked over to my table and just looked at us for a moment and then finally said, "How is it?" it was the manager. It was so creepy how he just came over and stood and stared first. No name or uniform. The manager was not willing to comp the queso. He said finally he could do a gift card for it. Then I got my bill and had to go back to the mngr because it was all wrong. Only refilled my water 1 time, and that was only because I asked. We used the gift card today and will NOT be back.
They never even said they were sorry for any of this stuff happening. So sad.
The fajitas on fries was good with the chicken. My sons food was what he...
Read moreWell, don't believe everything this sign says. There are several parts to this story. This post is long, so hang with me. Went there with a group of 12 for lunch today. We all ordered from the lunch menu which includes items which are $5.50 and up. 1.) They didn't offer the dessert, we had to inquire. They told us we could get sopaipillas. Then, they didn't bring them until we asked again. They came back and said it was one dessert per table. We had four tables pulled together for our party of 12. Since, we were a large table, they said we could have two orders of sopaipillas. There are four pieces in each order. We agreed that that was okay (our table speaking for the whole group.) because no one else had inquired about the advertised dessert. You would have thought they could have offered three orders so every one could have a piece ... well, whatever. 2.) Before the sopaipillas arrived, we paid our ticket with a coupon. Three of us (me included) ordered together to take advantage of a coupon I had. They came back and said there was a problem; we could either use the coupon or have the sopaipillas. We said we will use the coupon. Does the sign say anything about a this advertised offer not being good with another offer? 3.) Service was great. We had a wonderful server. 4.) The chips were hard and tasted stale. We asked for others and received more of the same. 5.) Personally, I don't like their enchilada sauce. 6.) Well, the bottom line for me .... my first time there and I won't be back; and I'll encourage my lunch bunch to drop them from our list of restaurants. NOTE: It doesn't appear that the photo I submitted will be shown. The sign reads "Lunch Specials Starting $5.50 with Dessert. LTD...
