I just picked up my two youngest dogs from their second stay at Diggin Inn and the second experience was a thousand times better than the first. I first scheduled a boarding with Diggin Inn in may 2021 for four days. My husky/Pyrenees was 10 months and not neutered at the time and my husky/cattle dog was 4 months and spayed at the time. Originally they had no issue with my boy being unneutered but when my boyfriend and I dropped them off, they said he might not be able to join daycare. We completely understood why but they assured us that he would have play time outside regardless, it might just be only him and our other dog, which we were completely okay with. We constantly checked the cameras to see if our dogs got out to play and we never seen them. After a couple days we did call to ask if they were let out, especially since I was paying for daycare on top of the over night boarding, and they assured us that they both were outside by thereās blind spots in the cameras. We took them at their word. At the end of their stay, both dogs came home safe and completely okay but we did notice that they only fed them once a day even though we told them that our dogs ate twice a day. We also questioned them again on if our dogs got daycare and they said they did, even though we never seen them on the cameras. We booked the same dogs for the same amount of time again in July, this time our boy was neutered. I told them again that our dogs ate twice a day and paid for daycare on top of boarding again. This time, we seen our dogs in daycare all day, everyday. Yes, thereās blinds spots in the cameras but we would checked the cameras every hour or two and would watch for 10-15 minutes each time. We always seen them out playing. That definitely makes it seem more likely that they did not get daycare the first time, even though they told us they did multiple times and I paid for daycare. It was also clear that our dogs did get fed twice a day this time. Overall, this is a pretty decent daycare and boarding for dogs and even though weāve had two different experiences. I donāt know if Iād completely recommend Diggin Inn if I included my opinion of our dogs first stay with them but the second stay was pretty awesome. I do think they need to expand their outdoor play area because itās very crowded on some days. I do plan on booking on with them again next month since they are pretty affordable and the second stay with them was a thousand times better than the first time. I do wish they had been truthful about the dogs not being in daycare the first time and Iām still upset that it seems like our dogs never got out of their kennel the entire stay but Iām currently glad I gave them a second chance. Hopefully our third stay is just as good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTook my 6 month old puppy (half pit bull/half german shepherd) for doggie day care in January. An inattentive staff member shut a heavy door on my pups tail and literally cut his tail off. Pup had to have emergency surgery, removing 2 inches of his tail in order to have enough skin to stitch/close the surgical site. After a month, the surgical site just would not heal and ended up being an open wound. Pup had to have surgery again mid February and this time he had to have his tail docked. All he has left of his tail now is a nub. Two months later (today is March 15th) and my poor dog still has stitches in what is left of his tail. He has had to wear a cone for two months to keep him from tearing the stitches out. We have had to make countless trips to the vet regarding this incident and he has been on antibiotics, pain killers and tranquilizers for 2 months. But by far the worst part is the pain he has had to endure. The vet said surgery on a dogs tail is one of the most painful and one of the hardest sites to get to heal. Definitely true. This has been a complete nightmare for him and for my husband and I. The owner of Diggin Inn has never apologized nor has she ever even called to check to see how our dog is after having his tail CUT OFF at her establishment. I wish we had never set foot in the place. I am writing this review in hopes that it will keep others from taking their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family took our dog here even after reading some reviews about other pups being bitten/attacked under their watch. Management responded to those saying they were now under new ownership. Well, unfortunately we should have listened to the pet parents. Our sweet Bentley was mauled by other dogs in their care. When they called, they downplayed the injury and said it was āa couple of nips,ā well after spending overnight in the animal hospital āthose couple of nipsā was actually 15-20 bites resulting in at least 15 stitches. We trusted this business with our dog and were given a false sense of hope with the cameras they have. I am writing this review to spread awareness to the situation, even if you think it wonāt happen to your pup, it can and it will. This happened under the new ownership and instead of any apologetic behavior, we were sent a letter that highlighted their liability form showing that they were not responsible. The truth is, they are not responsible. We are responsible for finding trustworthy care for our dog and it is not...
