I've only been here twice since I moved here, but neither time was a pleasant experience. The first time, the food was okay, but I was waiting for over 10 minutes before I got it because the employees somehow forgot that I had placed an order. I've had this happen at other KFCs, but they've always offered me a free item as compensation (without me asking for one) when it happens -- that didn't happen here. The second time I knew there would be a wait because they had to cook a fresh fillet for my sandwich, but it still took over 10 minutes, and when I got my sandwich, the chicken was tough and rubbery. I was almost late for a movie so I didn't have time to complain about it -- I just ate as fast as I could and left -- but I definitely wasn't satisfied with that sandwich. I would probably be willing to give this location one more chance, but only because I haven't tried the buffet yet. Read moreThe food has gone downhill recently, it used to be really good. Now when you walk in the chances of them actually having chicken is slim to none. We were sitting in the parking lot for about 10 minutes this evening at 4:45pm. Not a single car went through the drive thru, no one came into or out of the building. When we walked in everyone was goofing off. Fine, they aren't busy & I'm sure it gets boring. We order. No grilled chicken. They JUST put it down. They lied & said someone just walked out with a huge order minutes ago... Nope, we were sitting outside & the place was completely empty. We live in Wichita & will probably not be making the trip to Derby for chicken anymore.

Read moreI placed carry out order online and paid with credit card. I went to the counter to pickup. They gave me my order and as I was leaving the cashier said the system showed the order was cancelled. I showed him the confirmation email and the pending charge on my card but he still insisted the order was canceled. I asked for a refund and was told nothing they could do. I left the food and called corporate office, explained what happened and they issued a refund. The transaction did charge my credit card so happy corporate issued a refund.
