OMG I LOVE THIS PLACE! My daughter introduced me to Rockin Rick's a few years back. Now I can't wait for their season to open. I never liked snow cones until I tried RR, but now I'm in love with them. The flavors of syrup are endless. Then, to take it to the next level, they make gourmet snow cones. Ice cream and "Eagle Brand" are some of the ingredients used to make this delicious snowcone. They do have sugar free syrups as well. The hours of operation are afternoon to evening. Wow I didn’t know snow cones could be so good! I had heard some hype about this place but didn’t actually get around for trying it until now. It’s a very unassuming place - just a tiny drive-up trailer in front of the Derby theater, but they have some really great snow cone selection! I got the apple pie sno ball and my son got rainbow. Credit card surcharges are completely illegal in Kansas. This place does not notify of the surcharge until the card is getting swiped. Even in the states that allow surcharges, the business must post a sign outside the building that they exist and they may not exceed 4%. The charges here are at least 10%. So they are really breaking the law. And a report was filed on it.
