I don't understand why they have 2 lines at the drive through when they can't keep up with one line. Today I pulled into my local McDonald's in Newport, Vermont to get breakfast. At that point both of the lines at 10:03 where full. By the time i got to the window it was 10:32 & they informed me that i was no longer able to get breakfast. I waited 30 minutes in line for nothing. I don't care for their lunch or dinner items. I'm just a bit annoyed that after waiting 30 min & bring 2 min over the cut off line for breakfast they couldn't make an exception considering i saw more than 3 other people besides myself drive off when they where told no more breakfast was being served. The cut off used to be 11:00am. What happened to fast food? The employee didn't care or even appologize. I know he's just a young kid getting $16 per hour but it's not really his fault. My husband was the one driving and the one who gave the order. My husband also has a stuttering problem. What sets me off is that the one laughing was a manager. We drive up to the window I ask the lady what was so funny. Asked her if they way my husband talked was funny. She just looks at us then starts going off. Its funny that my co worker is on there phone. How is that so funny. Then I get even more up set. My husband can not go no where with out someone picking on the way it talks. We should be able. Read moreThis McDonald’s for the most part always has good food! I’m not sure if this is the new way, or maybe I’m old fashioned. It takes FOREVER, for anyone to acknowledge you, let alone take your order at the counter. I see them fulfill at least 20 drive-through orders, the last four times I’ve gone into this restaurant to order at the counter. At the very least a “we will be right with you” should be standard. Food is good, the service these days, not so much! Edited to 2/20/25 it also seems EVERY SINGLE TIME I order a fish filet it takes a super long time! In the drive through in ALWAYS asked to pull up & wait at least 8 minutes.
