First, we are a family of 8 from Texas and we travel all over the country full time in our motorhome. We frequent a LOT of fast food joints after long days of exploring and exciting adventures like Hershey has to offer.
It's important to me to point out that the general staff of this facility were very friendly and kind despite clearly being mistreated by management AND customers. Being so close to a pricey theme park my guess is that most the one and two star reviews are from overly tired and cranky people who stood in lines all day and paid too much for anything in the park before piling into a car for a long drive home and end up taking out their attitudes on the fast food workers.
They are clearly VERY understaffed which causes all kinds of issues in itself. We went through the drive-thru and were behind a minivan with at least 5 people. These people were being so nasty and rude to the staff that I nearly got out of my van to intervene. I was disgusted that anyone going through a drive-thru would be so awful to fast food service workers who are clearly struggling, but trying their hardest. These workers kept their cool, tried repeatedly to resolve the customers complaints, and were still so mistreated.
The staff are trying. They are clearly understaffed which means they are all overworked, and likely underpaid. They don't deserve any of the mistreatment they receive.
Even after getting completely berated for at least 15 minutes through a drive thru window from a single vehicle, they put on smiles and completed our order happily.
Keep in mind we are a family of 8. Our orders are NOT small or simple. We've got some picky eaters. Nevertheless, the staff got our order correct (which is rare for any fast food restaurant we visit).
They were great to us even though they were clearly about to cry from the vulgar and disgusting customers in front of us. Honestly, I'm surprised didn't all just walk out and shut down the restaurant.

Read moreI came in wanting a quick meal. I should have left the moment I walked in. There was a line that wrapped around the seating area. Trashes were overflowing and absolutely disgusting, especially since this is a place where people come to eat, not swim in trash. The workers were incompetent. I waited for fifteen minutes to even place my order. I did not order anything large, being it was only my daughter and me. The cashier told me they would be right with me. I stood at the counter for about ten minutes, waiting for them to be “right back”. I noticed there were six separate employees working, one having caught my eye. They had drawn whiskers and a cat nose on their face, as if to make themself a cat. This employee could have been working on the people who had previously ordered’s meals. Instead, they had decided they would draw on their face and turn into an animal instead. Why is an animal working in a restaurant, anyway? After placing my order, I did not receive a receipt. I ordered a beverage hoping to get an iced tea, but neither of the dispensers had any in them. Choosing to just get a different drink, I went to the soda fountain, where almost none of the options were available. Twenty eight (28) minutes later, I still had not gotten my food. I went to the counter to ask about my order, and the same cashier who took my order asked for my receipt, which again, I did not receive. Read moreAbsolutely terrible service. Michelle behind the counter today was extremely rude. I ordered online and showed up as directed to at the "pick up here" window. After ignoring me for 10 mins she directed me to the back of the line. I advised her that I had ordered online 15 mins ago. She huffed and puffed and asked for my name. I gave her my name and then she huffed some more and told the other people in line that she would be right with them since I jumped in front of everyone. Mind you, I only get a 30 min lunch break and ordered ahead for this reason. Michelle then grabbed my food without any food safety gloves and tossed my food into my bag rudely. She then proceeded to tell me that for future reference, I would need to stand in line even if I ordered ahead. I made her aware and pointed above my head where it clearly stated " pick up moblie order here." I will not be returning to this establishment any more.
