First, I so love the food when it is good. Who doesn't love fresh hot wings? However, I have to find a new wing place. We hadn't been to BWW in several months because every time we would go, something made us not want to come back. Sometimes it was the incredibly poor service. Sometimes it was lackluster food, wrong food, or just plain BAD food. For the ISU/Oregon game, decided to give them another shot and ordered online. Total was around $42, included 40 wings, fries, vegetables and dips (ranch/bleu cheese). We scheduled for pickup at a later time than the order. We arrived and picked up the food no issue. The employee handed her the sealed bag and said thank you. The bag was sealed (due to COVID I assume), so everything was good!! We took the food to some friends, opened it up........no sauces, no vegetables. Called the restaurant and was told it was our fault for not picking up the second bag with the sauces and vegetables. Wife of course is extremely angry with them saying it was her fault because she didn't wait for the second bag. So I explained in length to the manager they didn't tell her there was a second bag, they handed her the one bag, said thank you and she was on her way. He finally "understood" what I was getting at and said he would talk to the staff and let them know. We started to eat.....couple more issues. The dry rub had ZERO seasoning. And I mean ZERO!!!!! It was essentially 10 unseasoned wings. The regular buffalo had to have been sitting for quite awhile because there was no sauce, it was all soaked into the wing. Did I mention EVERYTHING was cold. We had scheduled pickup for 3:10pm, arrived at 3:18, so little bit our fault for being 8 minutes late to pick it up. Finally, many of the wings were no larger than a quarter. (I mean a 25 cent piece for reference). I figure of the 40 "boneless wings" we ordered, we probably got 30. I realize not all wings are the massive/delicious wings.....but when you get a "wing" that essentially has no meat and is just gristle and breading....leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Read moreI ordered the Southwest Party Platter that unfortunately no one knew what was supposed to come with the platter including the manager. When I first picked up my order, I was only given a portion of my order and thankfully before I got too far away, I caught the mistake, not to mention the cashier did not give me my receipt. When I went in there, the same cashier acted as if I was inconveniencing her when I asked her what was supposed to come in my order and had shown her that I only had the quesadillas. She stated she didn't know and grabbed a to-go menu and said it's supposed to come with street tacos and I told her thats what I was missing. Because no one seemed to know what was supposed to come with the platter, I called the West Des Moines location and the manager was nice enough to tell me everything that was supposed to come with my order. While I'm waiting for the tacos, the food I had was getting cold. Then the cashier returned with to small boxes and one that had I don't know what smeared on the top of the box. I checked my order again before leaving out the restaurant. I still did not have everything. I waited until the cashier was finished helping some other customers and let her know I was still missing some things and at this point she was showing that she was more irritated. I told her that I would need to order more tacos if 6 tacos was what came with the platter. She just stood there looking at me and with an attitude said is there anything else and I told her I had already said I needed to order more of the street tacos. I did inquire about the rest of my order and then that's when she said she could get the manager if I would like. After about 5-7 minutes, it took for me to ask for a refund for the manager and the cashier to finally make their way out of the kitchen. The manager was very nice and apologetic and offered to give some coupons which would barely compensate for the gas and time wasted, as well as the treatment I received from the cashier. Read moreJust had the absolute worse experience in my entire life in the restaurant industry. If your server is Ray ask for a new server. We went in for Bogo wings and ordered 10 boneless wings each. We said our flavors, he didn't write our order down, then he left. Someone comes back with an order of traditional wings and we said it wasn't ours. He comes back with one tray of traditional wings and we said we ordered 10 boneless wings each person with the flavors we told him. Being confused about what we ordered & then repeating 10 each for our order we thought he meant 10 wings to each person totaling 20 wings with the flavors we chose. He checks up on us at least a few times to let us know our foods coming which I give props to, but then our food came from someone else and it was 20 wings each person. That order was wrong too. He was on the cash register and never proceeded to check on us or bring water. At that point we didn't want to wait for an actual correct order after being messed up twice. He finally checked up on us I explained we said 2 orders of 10 for the Bogo deal like we originally wanted & he said he explained we wanted 10 each of the 4 flavors. I told him he needed to reword his phrase better. 2 orders of 10 wings = 20 wings total with 4 sauce options right? Never did we say we wanted 10 wings of 4 different flavors. He never came back to the table. Had a different server come bring the check and boxes. I had to ask a server if she could find a manager since he didn't want to come to us. THEN had to go to the cashier to ask for someone to ring up my card. At that point that was unnecessary and for a 26 dollar bill I could've just walked out. As this is happening he was clearly talking bad about us to everyone & stayed in the back continuing to talk bad instead of just getting rid of us and cashing us out.
