Another place that advertises the hours there employees are going to be at the restaurant. Not the hours that they are going to be serving customers. This is so annoying, I can’t stand when a restaurant has hours posted and they are not the hours of operation, but merely the hours that they will have employees on sight. If I’m calling inquiring about yours hours and you respond with, “6am - 12am”. I come there at 11:45 I would expect to be able to order food, at the very least order it to go! I understand that the employees want to go home but you need to adjust your posted hours to reflect the times your going to be providing the service that you get a premium for. There isn’t such a a thing has an unsaid rule in the restaurant business or any industry that states “No patronizing an establishment 30-15mins before closing time. If your expecting quality services and decent product”. Why then, have hours posted at all, any where? Or, are we just supposed to know what places to subtract from there posted closing times and how much time to subtract? I Im just wanting some straight forward times to go with. If your going to post hours of operation then hold to that schedule. When you don’t hold to that schedule it’s the same has serving the customer the wrong food or cold food and telling them you still have to pay for the wrong meals. Which makes some customers to never come back to your establishment. Most certain they will not highly of your establishment. All this equals, you losing customers without even serving them in the first place. Not a profitable way to run a service based company in may opinion. It won’t sustain for any length of time with that business...
Read moreToday's late breakfast was my first visit to an IHOP location. No Kiddin'! The "Meet & Seat" was speedy, we even got our preferred comfy booth, and it was comfy. Server Gina arrives before my seat was warm, to bring menus and take drink orders. She's back in no time with a smile, a pot of coffee and cups. The IHOP coffee is good!
My sweetie likes omelets. Meat, cheese, eggs. No veggies. No fuss. Cheerful Gina helps build my sweetie's preferred omelet with hash browns, of course. This IS Iowa! We're chatting and mixing our coffee when hot food arrives. Speedy Indeedy!
The Missus says her omelet was awesome! I grade a new restaurant by their country fried steak and eggs. My country fried steak was full-tummy sized. Eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes are included. My dilemma was, what to eat first while it was hot. My order was perfectly cooked and delicious! No, I didn't finish all of it.
Gina knows her business and soon arrives with to-go boxes and the bill. Price was reasonable, food quality was great, service was excellent. "Have a Blessed Day" and we have!
5 stars for this first visit! We are...
Read moreAccording to the information I got online it says that IHOP stays open until 12:00am. I arrived at the IHOP on se14th st at 11:30pm to order some food for take out. I am a server and didn't want to be "that guy" that walks in and sits down half hour before close. Well, to my disappointment when I walked up and tried to open the doors, they were both locked. I could see people inside. Not sure if they were employees or patrons, either way there were people inside the restaurant. I'm definitely annoyed by this. If a business states that they are open until a certain time, then they should adhere to that. Or change the hours listed to open from 6am-to-"whenever we feel like closing". I had planned on ordering a minimal amount of food so as to not be too big of a hassle. I am also a very generous tipper being in the industry myself. Not only will they never find that out, but they have lost any money I was going to spend there because they have lost my business. If you're going to close early, at least put an apologetic note on the door explaining this. Seriously, a little communication...
