Des Moines is blessed with so many amazing musicians, live music venues, promoters, supporters, servers, bartenders, & fans, we never seem to lack several great choices of places to go enjoy great local live musicians! We have many of the best musicians here, that can do covers better than the originals! No offense! Just truth!

Stopped in for a beer, we knew the Soul Searchers would be playing. And were not disappointed. This band continues to impress. I wish they would make the trek to Marshalltown's Jake's Gameroom. Enough about them, The Greenwood is a step back in time. I love toe tapping to the band and literally drinking in the atmosphere. I would give 5 stars but the bathroom...

5 stars for atmosphere and live music. Can consistently find live music here and drinks a very reasonably priced. If you're looking for fancy go elsewhere. If youre looking for consistent service, cold drinks and music...
