Yacht Club — Restaurant in Des Moines

My Friday night visit was decent with a friendly talkative bartender that didn’t push me out quickly after a 12 pm last call. Saturday was crowded with a bartender that catered to the regulars. She was slow to the point of maybe this line of work isn’t your calling. She could figure out prices as she charged me 12$ for two beers/2shots on to change to 15$ and finally 18$. Not cool anyway you look at it even if she wasn’t good at middle school math. I didn’t mind the atmosphere. All kinds of weirdness but nothing bad. Weird seating with a booth a table a few seats at the bar and an area in the middle that made to sense at all. I can’t give the YC a poor review because it’s something you might experience in a true backwoods dive bar. Had a good time with "THE PEOPLES BAND"! Two Phenomenal female vocals & keyboard player! the entire band was fun. Service was great, drinks were great! The bar itself could definitely use a major cleaning & complete remodel/update! Very small to accommodate a full piece band, with extremely limited seating & standing room! Bartenders, kind of atrocious to people that aren't regulars.
