Waffle House — Restaurant in DeSoto

Absolute trash. Me and my boyfriend have been coming to this location because it was new. The other local wafflehouse is really bad so we have been going to this location because it was so close to cedar hill. Thing is we have been hitting this wafflehouse between 2am-4am since it opened without issue. So we tryed it yesterday for the morning crew after 8am and I will not be going to any dallas wafflehouses because of this experience in the foreseeable future. We weren't greeted when we arrived which it being wafflehouse is hit or miss. The entire staff seemed hostile to our presence dispite the fact they had 2 cooks and twice the severs i have ever seen at a wafflehouse. Our sever took nearly 40 mins to get our drinks and seemed to be inebriated which again it is wafflehouse it is hit ir miss. My food was cold when it got to our table waffle included. Not to mention my grits where uneatable (to which our server blamed nightshift) even though i thought it was the servers duty to make them in real time for their own orders as the grits seem like the instant kind. They straight up forgot to make my boyfriend's food so his food was at least hot. After all that our server told me to my face that she was "making a fresh batch of tea for my drink refill" never came to refill me or my boyfriends drink the entire time we where at the wafflehouse. About an hour after me and the boyfriend ate we got up to pay because our sever never bought the check or let me see it and some how our food...

Always come to waffle house for food, I love my waffle and coffee. From the moment my wife and I walked in, no one acknowledged us, no word if we wanted to sit anywhere we’d like, we found our own table. Silverware was laid on the table, as if it were ready to serve more people, but table was dirty and sticky from previous customers, seemed like it hadn’t been wiped. We cleaned it ourselves and kept waiting, still no one talking to us, my wife got up and went and talked to someone, and asked if someone was going to wait our table. Somebody came, took our orders, and of course we wanted coffee, hoping they would bring that first. It took our food quite sometime to get to us, it did, and no coffee yet. At this point we both were frustrated and annoyed, how out of all the places around us, we chose this particular location. Kept waiting on coffee and waffles for quite a while. Almost halfway through our meal, coffee and waflles came. Everything was delicious, as I have always liked waffle house. But the wait seems too much to deal with. I would suggest going to a different location or a different breakfast place altogether. My experience was not pleasant at all. Server mentioned towards the end they were shorthanded, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that no one was communicating with us. Definitely will be away from this location whenever I need...

Cecil On 4/28/24 around 09:00 am, I went to the Waffle House #2430 in Desoto, TX, off of Beltline Rd. I ordered a All-Star Special. It cost $13.80. I used my debit card to pay for it. While waiting on my food. I noticed that people that came in after me, that dinning in and ordering to go had gotten there food. I asked the lady that was working the counter, about my order. She asked me who took my order. I showed her the young man. He asked me did he take my order and I said yes. He started looking in the trash can. The lady came back over and said I am sorry. We will start working on your order now. I said no, just give me my refund. She told the young man that I wanted a refund. After a couple of minutes went by. I asked for a manager. The manager came to the counter and I explained on what was going on and said ok. He walked away and said give him his refund. No one stop from what they were doing to give me my refund. So I left.

I called the HQ on April 29, at 1:31pm. I spoke with a lady on the above and she said that she would send this to upper management and someone would contact me in a couple of days. Today is May 14, 2024 and no one...
