While vacationing in Destin we decided to check out Fudpuckers 1-on a recommendation of the gentleman at the bait shop in Walton Beach 2-because as we drove by the placed look cool. We arrived right at the time they had stopped meal service at the outside bar area which we wanted to sit there because they had live music. The music was great so we were going inside when we passed the manager and told him that we really wished we could stay outside..he motioned over to the bartender "Danny" to serve us and said we could stay outside. We thanked him and proceeded to sit back down. Danny came over introduced himself and asked us what we wanted to drink. He took our order and we asked for recommendations on what to eat. He recommended the "Double Breasted Chicken Stack" ... we ordered that and a side of alligator bites. WOW! The chicken stack was amazing. So tender, flavorful and delicious! Definitely a great choice. We ordered 1 and my fiance and I shared it and it was enough for the 2 of us. The alligator bites were awesome as well and the sauce it comes with is great. Danny was amazing and was so attentive and helpful. Danny was definitely a treasure! The music was phenomenal. We had the best night during our stay. Thank you so much Danny and management. I wish I could remember the managers name because he made our night fabulous by allowing us to stay and order outside. Thank you again, will definitely visit again when back in town.

“Sweet Mac, Sad Bacon, and a Fud Fee for Your Regret” We gave Fudpucker’s a shot because the name was fun, it’s on the beach, and hey — they have live alligators. Surely that means the food slaps, right? Spoiler alert: It does not. First red flag? The sweet tea was so sugary I thought someone had melted a Pixy Stick in each glass. I figured the Mac and cheese would be normal… WRONG AGAIN. It somehow managed to be even sweeter than the tea. I don’t know if they confused the sugar for the salt or just hate humanity, but I wasn’t prepared for dessert disguised as a side dish. Also, the Mac had “bacon” crumbles on top. Visually crispy, but in reality, they were the soggy ghosts of bacon past. And all this culinary betrayal came with a $21.99 price tag. For Mac and cheese. No gold flakes. No truffle. Just lukewarm regret. We also ordered two bacon cheeseburgers ($18.99 each) and a regular cheeseburger ($17.99). They came out faster than a fast-food drive-thru, but with less heat than an apology text. The burgers were room-temp at best, like they’d been sitting in time-out. I typically tip a minimum of $20 regardless of where I eat or how much it is UNLESS the 25% tip comes out to more than $20 but let’s talk about the “fud fee.” A mysterious 2% charge (which isn’t much) on every check just because… Fud you, that’s why. And then — then — you’re offered tip suggestions of 18%, 20%, or 22%… AFTER the fud fee’s already been tacked on. So really, you’re tipping 20%, 22%, and 24%… on food that showed up like it Uber’d itself to the table. Also, entering the place was an adventure in itself — the walkway had planks that felt one good stomp away from becoming a viral lawsuit. For what they’re charging, they could at least invest in safe flooring. Or hot food. Sure, it’s summer. Sure, it’s a beach spot. But charging steakhouse prices for lukewarm sugar noodles and mushy meat isn’t a “beach thing” — it’s a bad restaurant thing. Would I go back? Only if the gators are cooking next time. At least they’d serve it hot.

I'm a little disappointed in Fudpuckers. Went from being a family oriented business to a corporate driven money machine. My family and I arrived yesterday to visit a place we have enjoyed so many times. It's been a while since we have been there, and a few changes have taken place. For example, the check-in for the wait list takes you through the gift shop. There is nothing special in there except for mountains of t-shirts. Buy 5, get 1 free. Wow! Fantastic deal. I wasn't really impressed with the "f" word being displayed so proudly on some of the merchandise. The wait wasn't very long, 20 minutes. That's how long it took me to get my drink from the outside bar. I asked for a margarita and got a $16 low octane lemonade. Nothing fancy. Off to our table downstairs. She took our order and seemed very nice. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and food. My kids wanted a hamburger. What a disappointment. Likes like something from the school cafeteria. My seafood platter was okay but very lackluster for $39.00. My wife's fish sandwich tasted good until she bit into the hair. Absolutely disgusting. She list her appetite. They insisted bringing her something so she ordered a hamburger. Lunch room style. They did take her meal off the bill but charged her for the lunch burger. Yikes. She disnt eat it. Nasty. Anyway, we did take the food home because our dog would probably like the treat. Maybe not, it's been in his food bowl for awhile now. Last but not least, we were asked to please scan a qr code to leave a positive review for our waitress. The server who recieved the most positive reviews would win some free tickets to a local go cart track. She went on about how her three kids would love it. Nice tug at the heart strings. I felt that I probably could have saved the $200.00 I spent on food and drinks by dropping off three tickets to the go cart place for our server, and fed my family at a local gas station.

Tourist Trap for sure. The place is always packed from what I can tell over the last six weeks. It looked fun and cool. Finally got to go and check it out. Place was pretty busy, told us an hour for a party of five. Took right around an hour to be seated. Gift shop has a ton of things, from slinky's to funny socks and all kinds of clothes. They even sell sauces and fudge. We went and checked out the arcade and the games were so so but they had a ton of prizes. My son set down his stuffed animal we had just purchased in their gift shop and somebody swiped it. When we went back to the gift shop and explained to them they said they couldn't help us. When it was time to eat the waiter was friendly and did walk us through the menu. The jalapeño burger was just average. The chicken pasta was okay, it was very creamy which was fine but to me it tasted kind of sweet. Their kids pizza and mac n cheese were honestly the best tasting items. I mean the experience is unique but we wouldn't go back and probably would recommend other local places for those visiting over this one. Would recommend the live feeding of the alligators, which you can do for free without having to pay. Update 1/4/25. Food was much better this time, if you take it for what it is, it's not that bad. Being that the food was much better this go around I've increased my overall rating.

Fudpucker’s was an absolutely amazing experience. When we got there we were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait but apparently that’s normal for this place. While we were waiting, I walked around Gator Beach, their alligator themed amusement park, and did their scavenger hunt. I was also able to get my photo taken with a real live alligator (!!!) which was super awesome because I love animals. I also went to one of the alligator shows which was very informative and interesting. Although it was more of a yap session than a show. When the food came, it was delicious. The prices were a bit high, but the portions are enormous and everyone in my party took home leftovers. I got the popcorn shrimp with Mac and cheese, and our waitress was so kind in providing several sauces for me to dip the shrimp in. The souvenir store is also a bit overpriced. I didn’t buy anything there, but it was fun to look around. And after I completed the scavenger hunt, I spun the prize wheel and got a free dessert! The name “Fudpuckers” makes it sound like a place that would serve sour candy or something like that, so I guess you could say I got what I came for- I got the key lime pie for dessert. Overall an amazing experience! My only complaint is that there was a weird mildewy, damp smell near the Gator Beach information stand, but idk what that was.

We visited on a Wednesday night. We were a party of 10 and we were seated very quickly. Rosemary was our server. She seemed new or nervous. She was very pleasant and did a good job. My wife and I had Fudburgers with cheese. They were average cheeseburgers. We didn't care for the special sauce that was served on the side. She also had a gator bomb which was a Red Bull can turned up-side-down in a glass with Blue Curacao & Orange Vodka and kind of gross because a dirty can is in your drink. Tasted good but not much for presentation. Our 9yo daughter had mac & cheese and loved it. She also ordered the green gator cup with her coke which made for fun during dinner, but we didn't take home as a souvenir. Our 14yo son had the chicken tacos and didn't like them. When we told Rosemary, she asked if we wanted a box to take them home. Odd response. A better response would have been to ask if he wanted something else or to take them off the bill. He also had a virgin pina colada which he liked. The kids' drinks came with small toy alligators. Overall, food is average, and atmosphere is fun. I'd skip the food and just visit the Gator Beach where pictures holding a gator are $22 each. They have a gator show every 2 hours. Oh, also checked your bill because gratuity is added with larger parties.
