Corktown Tavern — Restaurant in Detroit

Had an amazing time last night the staff was amazingthe people that were there were very nice the crowd that it brought in was pretty cool it was my friend's birthday last night so we had a birthday get-together it was definitely a nice highly recommend going there decent price drinks easy to find nice location great music good peopleFlint mob heart attack through down last night as always 0 fluxxs also threw down was my first time there definitely won't be my last hoping to see what the prices are to do further venues there and rent up the upstairs which is called the attic so there's a bad downstairs and also a like DJ setup and venue set up upstairs which is called the Attic definitely recommend for any kind of birthdays or get-togethersnot quite sure what the prices but I'm sure it was decent enough price to where you could make profits it also has above stairs that you could shut up and sell liquor from when you're doing your venue thank you for the amazing and we'll...

Well...I hate to leave this review because I have been a loyal corktown customer for 10 years but this place isn't for Detroiters anymore. The new owner doesn't seem to understand keeping his loyal patrons happy, even with a measly $2 beer to make up for the treatment. They have raised their prices, changed their taps and hired Chuck. The sliders have increased 33% in price while decreasing in size by 20%. Cheap beer is now $4 each and Chuck . For a seasoned bar tender, he sure seems new to the business . He's not friendly and makes it seem like a chore to wait on customers. He's defensive when asked any questions and it's hard to get his attention .We have been consistently going there and he still acts standoffish. It sucks. I loved this spot. Ciao corktown....

I went here for my cousin's show, which was GREAT and the only reason this place even gets a review. There was no acknowledgment from the staff when we walked in, and they were late opening the place. Plus, in order to get a drink, you have to wait for 25 minutes or more. At least during our visit, the craziest part was that there were two people working. They are just slow and, I think, high as they hardly even notice there are people waiting for drinks as they make and drink their own. For sure would not EVER go here again unless it was to support someone outside of the people...
