When I went to have dinner here, there were lots of people ordering food. The place had a couple dozen people waiting on their orders. Because of that (and likely the fact that I ordered a hot sandwich), I had to wait quite a while before I got my order; at least 20 minutes.
For my meal, I got a 7-11 combo; a sandwich that was half corned beef and half pastrami. The sandwich was absolutely gigantic; I never expected to receive so much meat. I felt like I had inadvertently accepted an eating challenge with how much food my meal had.
I was thankful that both kinds of meat were tender and flavorful (albeit salty but that’s to be expected). The only critique for this was that I wish my sandwich came with more coleslaw.
As for the fries, they were really good. I enjoyed how crispy and golden brown they were without being dry. None were overcooked or limp and they had a fine amount of salt without being overpowering. It helped that I got quite a few fries with my meal.
Ultimately, I found this place to be pretty good even if the wait time was long. I definitely got my money’s worth for this meal. Hopefully I won’t fall into a food...
Read moreI have always enjoyed the food at Grand River Deli. Especially after attending a concert. However for the first time, I was disappointed with my order. Idk if we were given the wrong order or what. My fries were missing along with the coleslaw that was supposed to be on our Reubens. Even the ginger ale was messed up. It tasted similar to Vernon’s although the sign said Seagram's. Since I don’t like Vernon’s, I just threw it away. I rarely check my order before I walk away b/c your staff is always on point with matching the orders with the receipt. Unfortunately I live 60 miles away, so it wasn’t until I got home that I discovered all the mistakes. Obviously there was no way for me to take a pic of the missing fries but the only fries in there...
Read moreI Came here with some friends after a concert. They really fell off I’m so disappointed.First off the corn beef sandwiches are smaller now and you only allowed to get regular corn beef sandwiches. They took the royal flush and 7/11 off the menu. Fries are not on the menu and you no longer have the option to order buffalo or bbq wings. It’s plain wings only. Then to put the icing on the cake. I guess they stoped cutting the sandwiches in half cause the sandwiches I had none of them was cut in half. I’ll go to Lou’s deli before...
