For anyone who comes to eat here, expect a wait time around 15 minutes. If you need to be somewhere quickly, find another place to eat. If you can spare the time, the food is worth the wait. Once, I got the Lodge Special for breakfast (two scrambled eggs, two sausage links, hash browns, and toast) and it turned out pretty good. A little hot sauce and those eggs are great. A shame I had to rush it down due to my schedule. Recently for dinner, I went with the Fried Cod Sandwich with French Fries. The cod was pretty tasty, great crisp with moist fish. Some flavorful tartar sauce helped enhance the fish even more. The only critique was that the fish was kind of small. The fries were very good; they were well seasoned enough that I could have eaten them without any condiments. Just a fair warning: the cod sandwich does NOT include fries. Those (or the onion rings) come separately; $4 for the fries and $5 for the rings. The service can be slow but the food overall has been pretty good. So long as you aren’t in a hurry, The Lodge Diner should be a good place for a meal.

Food and service was excellent macaroni was delicious i was shocked how good it was. Will be keep returning soon.Macaroni was some of the best in the city update it 04/25 overall, I had a good experience. The waitress was a little impatient when taking my order. I'm not sure about her name. But not important. We settled the dispute & enjoyed the food, also we tried something different. The bean and ham soup, also apple pie and vanilla ice cream, ribs, and Roast Beef. first off Roast Beef was very unpleasant the ribs also not smoky bland soft oven baked fake smoky flavor did not enjoy At all The Roast Beef was more on the uh, the school lunch side of things. No, maybe not that bad, but i'm thinking Hospital grade definitely not made from scratch the other things i've tried was very good Will definitely be returning to dine in again

I placed a carry out which was 15.00 plus automatic gratuity of 2.55 for a total of 17.55. Cool. I handed the waitress a $20 bill then a couple minutes later she handed me the bag of food and took off to another customer or something. I guess I wasn’t getting my change back. I asked the host about it, he didn’t know and tried to get a manager. 25 minutes later I’m waiting to find out what happened to my change! It’s the point at this point! I gave up and left, the food was barely warm and no one could find the manager for over 25 minutes so nothing was resolved.

A friend and I stopped in for dinner last night 8/24/18 the place was pretty much empty probably due to the late night. We had to call a manager over due to the poor service we received. You could hear the staff cutting up and goofing off in the kitchen all the way over at our table (T10). Our waiter took forever to greet us and then once he took our order we didn't get our soup or salad for well over 20 mins, Once we received it we waited another 30 mins for our food only for the waiter to bring my friend her food served cold (Steak)and never brought mine (Cobb Salad). Once that manager got there he was apologetic and told me my salad had about another minute to go and offered to warm my friends steak and other items on her plate. He had half the price of our dinner taken off the bill when we went to pay. The diner has what it takes to be a great place to dine but the staff is absolutely terrible! There was two couples that join each other at a table that came in to dine while we were waiting and after 30 mins one of the men had to hunt some one down to ask them if they were going to be waited on. So...
