I have been here 2 times & both times my food was not good. My husband food was good he said. The first time there we are there on the inside & we had to move 3 times before we were ok to stay there because other people was coming in & needing more tables so we had to move so they could use our table where we was sitting at when we first got there then the second time it was because others came in later that was with the group of people so we where asked to move again. When we got our food we ordered my husband ate his ribs & French fries but I ordered steak & chicken fajitas was not happy because the meat tasted nasty so I asked to try the gumbo because I am from Louisiana but the gumbo was not no Louisiana Gumbo I have ever had. So I not happy but my husband said we would give them another try & hopefully it will be better the second time. So I came back today & tried something different & it was a very bad disappointment for my Motor City club sandwich & French fries. I have never had a club sandwich done like this they gave me with chicken they use for fajitas not sliced chicken & very extra crispy bacon so hard you can't eat & the ham was in big pieces not sliced like the other club sandwich I have had. My husband was happy with his cron beef & but said French fries was not cooked right that was old & brown instead of gold brown or light brown. We spent to much money on our food for me to not like it. You know it is bad when I dog wouldn't eat the meats they used to make my sandwich with. So I had to make me something else to eat at home instead of eating what I paid hard earned money on to eat. I make better gumbo & sandwichs at home then...

I have thought about this for a while. Here was my experience at "Z's". Before Christmas I took my three children ages 26 to 17 to the hockey game. We went to "Z's" for dinner. I have fish and chips, which didn't look cooked. Didn't think much of it, cause I hadn't expected much. Sarah our server was pleasant. We took the shuttle to the game. The driver, Randy, was pleasant and agreed to pick us up early. He was waiting for us at the appointed time and took us back. On the way he told us there was a table with food inside and go in and help our selves. We ordered a drink, and I went up to the food. It was mostly picked over, I took some cheese and crackers. My two boys then went up and came back with this disturbing look on their faces. "A guy in a plaid shirt told us it was his food, he had paid for it and we couldn't have any". It put a bit of a damper on the outing and we finally left. I asked Sarah who the guy in the plaid shirt was and she told me it was "Mike the owner". Well Mike, I have a few thoughts for you. I share with you that I have killed grubs in the yard bigger than the ones you told my boys to stay from. And oddly was I was sick for the next...

Health Dept. Please Come Out!! I couldn't wait to try this place out and now I will never go back. Beautiful patio area. Saw large dog tied to a table ( owner/ workers dog) for dining with his water bowl in the patio area after about 10 minutes in. I ordered the salmon which was completely raw inside. The waitress took it back twice after I tried eating pièces around the edges because it was still undercooked. I was polite and said I would try something else. She stated that I must like my salmon well done. I'm à pescatarian and eat salmon approx 3-4 times à wk I've never seen it grossly undercooked like this. I told her I like my fish cooked to the temp that the health dept. require. Later I watched her throw the dogs water out and refilled from the restaraunt pitcher. She rubbed and played with the dog and went right back to waitressing. W without washing her hands. She got a carryout container and bag where I gladly threw your dog food out! This is NASTY. IM NOT A DOG I DONT EAT WITH DOGS AND IM STILL REPULSED TO KNOW I ATE ANYTHING THERE. I guess they didn't get the memo not to handle food and dogs at...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I have eaten at this place before on more than one occasion, so when I decided to go for my lunch break, a coworker asked me to grab them something as well. We spent almost $60 on lunch and our food was HORRIBLE!! First off, it was cold, I asked for ranch and got honey mustard. When I DID remind the cashier that I needed a side of ranch he charged me $1. Second, my fries (that didn’t come with my pita and I had to pay an additional $2.50 for) were really, really, reallllly greasy, hard, and burnt looked like they cooked them twice to warm them up….My coworker’s salad was wilted and definitely not worth $19!! When I called to complain, just to let them know we were disappointed, the “manager” I spoke with brushed it off like oh, well. Told me if I come back next week he could possibly do something about it, I told him that I was NEVER COMING BACK and I meant that! Z’s VILLA will never see my money again.

A great spot that reminds me of the small town taverns I grew up around. Cozy vibe, good music, charismatic staff (especially the owner), and a nice back patio with volleyball courts. Detroit-style pizza to rival Buddy's and Loui's (ask for it well-done). Their greek salad is huge, tasty, and always fresh. Good burgers and sandwiches and they'll switch the meat with a nice veggie patty for no extra charge. Decent prices on pitchers and well drinks. Big free parking lot with a friendly attendant who you can bum a cig off of, and who also may bum a cig off of you, depending on the day. And a free shuttle to and from sports events and concerts. An excellent low key place to take friends and family when they visit, no need to wait in line at some overhyped new gastropub. P.S. the exterior is painted in the worst possible drab gray color, hopefully they repaint at some point lol.

This is my first time at this place and I was very disappointed. The gumbo wasn't quite what I had in mind. I asked what type of wine they had and who it was by and the guy told me there was a owl on the bottle so that made me think the wine was from Aldi. I ordered a piece of catfish he told me it would be about five or six dollars I said okay. The owner came out and said I couldn't get just one piece of catfish I had to order a sandwich or a dinner because he needed the $10.00. He did however bring me a plate of grits that he had made for his self they were good that they would have been better with catfish. I would have paid $10 for grits and catfish. On the positive note I'm not a bread but the rolls they have were out of this world. I was told the walleye dinner was wonderful.
