Awesome little outdoor local spot that you could window order and sit where ever. Now they have turned it into a sit down and order with a waiter traditional restaurant type set up and we weren’t a fan. Adds some cost and just kind of takes away from why we have grown to love this place in the past. Lots of sit down to eat breakfast places we will probably go check out in dewey instead of sharky’s now.
2022 Update: still sticking with the host, waiter concept. It drives the cost of a meal with my family up noticeably. This place was so much more enjoyable when you window ordered and sat wherever you wanted.
2023 Update: ordered breakfast for our family this morning. A small OJ is $7! Kids had eggs, French toast, pancakes. Wife had a smoothie. Our bill was $80! For breakfast! Plastic silverware and paper plates, sat at a table where the grass has grown up to the seats. They charged us 3.25% fee for using a credit card. These are all bad things.
20 years ago I loved this place. Every time we go I’m reminded of how much it has changed for the worse. $80 to feed my family a basic breakfast is crazy, I didn’t even get anything. The suggested tips on our bill were 20%, 22%, 25%. I hate that I feel like I’m being scammed and ripped off for breakfast. I feel like we can never go back. Our dinner at Starboard was cheaper and I had a...
Read moreEat here if you want to be frustrated about the expensive price considering the extremely cheap service. This is an outdoor restaurant that is SWARMING WITH FLIES. You will have to fight off all the bugs trying to eat you and your food. The waiter “Ben” was very weird. He stood about five inches away from my face and kind of whispered so I couldn’t really hear him. He didn’t say anything like “excuse me” when he was handing my friend her smoothie, he kind of reached into her personal bubble to place the smoothie in her hand. It was a very windy day and the hostess sat us near the front counter where my food plates were nearly being swept up by the wind. There was hardly anyone else there so they could have sat us at a table, but no, she needed to make the customer suffer. When we asked for water, Ben didn’t give us a cup of tap, he gave us bottles of water in which we had to pay for! ALSO: the restaurant is so cheap that they serve everything on paper plates. I asked for over-hard eggs and I received over-easy (wow). When I was done with the eggs the paper plate flew off of the counter top and onto my shirt. Egg yolk got on my leg, my shirt,...
Read moreWasn’t overly impressed last year, but wasn’t specifically bad. Just a weird uninviting vibe from the staff, even though it looks like a cute spot. Had just ordered a bagel and coffee and service was okay-ish.
Today we spent 14.95 on two bagels and a cold brew. Okay. When we got back to hotel, the bagel didn’t have cream cheese. It was dry. Even the receipt said cream cheese. It wasn’t a misunderstanding.
If we had wanted to sit at a table, we couldn’t have because they had the bin full of silverware on the first regular table. Very uninviting. Just got a weird vibe that they didn’t want to be bothered.
They were having their sewer or something cleaned out by a truck while we were there and the smell was God-awful. Should that be done during business hours of a food establishment? People were sitting there eating! Hard pass. We will be looking for another coffee spot for the rest...
