We are soon moving into the area and wanted to get a feel for the local restaurants and shops. So we stopped here and we were very disappointed. I understand busy but when everyone around you gets served and it takes 10 minutes to get a drink order in that is when it becomes frustrating. And when our waitress did show up she was rude and curt and I was going to try and order for our 2 year old so she wouldn’t start making a scene in the restaurant as a preventative measure (our 2 year old was being uncharacteristically quiet and patient and wanted to keep it that way) but wasn’t even able to get the chance. We hardly were able to get our drink order in before she was turning around to nicely help someone else. Then when she came back 5 minutes later we were able to order food. The food came back quickly (by 3 different people who were not our waitress) which was nice but the nice stopped there. Our food all came out at different times and my meal (I just ordered the potato skins) came after the other main meals even though mine was technically an appetizer. The kids Mac and cheese was over cooked and tasted and looked like left over Kraft boxed Mac and cheese. My potato skins were hot and crispy which was nice but had 0 seasoning and I had to salt and pepper them at the table. My husband’s turkey Ruben sandwich tasted like store bought ingredients in a sandwich and was also very under seasoned. It wasn’t bad just disappointing given the over all reviews of this restaurant. After we finished eating (not seeing our waitress since we ordered our food) we waited over 10 minutes before flagging down the hostess so we could get our bill. We saw our waitress so infrequently we couldn’t quite remember which one was our waitress. Only to find out it was the one of the girls who passed our table and check on the people around us at least a couple dozen times over the course of our 45 minute experience, she only talked to us twice. While we were also at the table there was an incident with another customer at the bar where he didn’t hear a waitress say excuse me immediately, because it’s kind of loud in there, and she got extremely rude with him and then when he tries to flag the waitress down to apologize the waitresses were all very rude to him even though he was trying to apologize. It was just overall an very off putting experience and we don’t think we are going back...
Read moreMy husband and I came here as a day date. It was about 1230ish on Friday afternoon. They weren't busy.
We were seated quickly. And just after us another table was sat. Our server came and got our drink orders. It took about 10 minutes to get two beers. In that 10 minutes two other tables were sat. All three of those tables got their drinks before us. Our server brought our drinks back saying something was wrong with the bar but the other tables had similar. We placed our orders. She also took the order of the table sat at the same time us as (no big deal, efficient).
We ordered pretzels sticks, a Hawaiian pizza, and a steak quesadilla. All three tables that came in after us were served first. Two of them finished their food, paid, and left before we even got our food.
When we got our food, the pizza was a margarita pizza with no sauce. My husband pointed this out to our server and she assured him it was a Hawaiian. He took a piece and found out it had no sauce and was just tomatoes and basil. He hates tomatoes. He pulled another server over and asked if this was their Hawaiian pizza. He assured us it was not. So he had our server come back and get us the correct pizza. We waited another 20 minutes to get the correct pizza. By that time my husband had eaten half of my lunch.
I don't think this experience is to be related to the restaurant. It was a nice environment and good food. But I am upset that after all of that frustration and lunch taking almost 3 hours (we left around 330) that no error was even acknowledged on the part of the server.
Maybe we will give it another go sometime in the future and use a different server. The rest of them seemed to be...
Read moreJust had the most horrible experience at the Dexter Pub. First they sat us upstairs where there were NO SERVERS causing us to wait 15 minutes to talk to anyone and 25 minutes for drinks, then the poor waitress told us that there was only 2 waitresses with full sections. Then it took another 25 minutes for a salad (which was small, brown and without the right toppings (they ran out of croutons??). Then the burgers we ordered we raw in the middle, cold even.....when I asked for a manager they sent the bartender up to ask what was wrong.....when I told her the above story she said ok I will tell him. About 10 minutes later a man approached our table angrily. He did not identify himself, he did however, begin to yell at me and asked “why did you tell the waitress several times that everything was good if it wasn’t” I told him (the raw burger sitting there) you can see it is raw in the middle....that’s not right. He screamed at me aggressively that “right and wrong do not matter because I told the waitress it was right. I explained that the only time we even SAW the waitress was when she brought our food. He said I was lying and that he was going to take the burger off the bill “because you think you’re right, I’m not going to argue with you”, I agreed that i did not want to argue and he stormed away mad. Another 10 minutes went by and we went down stairs to pay our bill.
I HAVS NEVER BEEN TREATED THAT WAY BY AN OWNER OF A BUSINESS! I WILL BEVER RETURN.
I never post reviews because I always assume that maybe it was a bad day it this was...
