Erratic Ale Co. — Restaurant in Dexter

Amazing little brewery off the border-to-border trail in the quaint town of Dexter, Mi. My first visit was with my daughter after going for a bike ride on the trail. The owner, Deb & Brian, are friendly and welcoming right when you walk in the door - greeted with a smile & a hello! The variety of beer choices are fresh and flavorful meeting many palates from sours, to stouts to ales & lagers. They have a small food menu that is delicious but if you are looking for a fuller meal, Raterman's Bistro, is right next door and you can bring your food over to the brewery while sipping on a crisp beer. Erratic Ale: Decent Brews, Great Hangout Spot!

Erratic Ale has a laid-back and welcoming environment that definitely makes it a place you'd want to return to. While the beer was just okay – nothing particularly blew me away – it was perfectly enjoyable for an afternoon with friends.

We actually grabbed some pizza from next door and brought it over, which worked out great. We spent a couple of hours there, chatting and enjoying the casual atmosphere. It's the kind of spot where you can easily relax and have a good time without any pretension.

So, while the beer might not be the main draw for me, the comfortable and friendly environment makes Erratic Ale a solid choice for a casual get-together with friends. I'd definitely go back for the ambiance and the...

I visited Erratic Ale for the first time, who hosted my 20-year Dexter High School Reunion - It was a really great experience! I generally do not drink beer or wine, but after having spoken with the owner who suggested their 'OBD', I consequently had several pours, including their ✋ 'Just Jack' ✋, and easily enjoyed both throughout the evening!

The location is great; feels modern and fresh - and also approachable! The interior space is well-laid-out, and all attending staff that night were friendly, communicative, and patient with a 'chatty-catherine' such as myself. 😜
