LEGEND HOT CHICKEN — Restaurant in Diamond Bar

The good. Chicken tenders were crispy , moist and flavourful. The batter was not thick nor heavy nor greasy. You can tell it was made to order. My 2 drum 2 thigh combo was delicious, juicy and crispalicious. Piping hot and fresh. Their house sauce was similar to raising Kanes bu a touch sweeter. Service was prompt and friendly. But fyi, it is made to order so be prepared to wait 15 to 20mins for your order to be ready. Combos came with decent garlic texas toast. Got the spicy sweet sauce, decent but could have used more heat imo. For 3 bill was mid $50 which isn't horrible these days. The Bad: Nuggets weren't very good. Very flat, drier than the above mentioned dishes, and not as flavourful. Fries were standard lightly coated frozen ones (similartoPopeyes). They weren't bad by any means but just wished more establishments would do fresh cut fries. The Ugly: the mac and cheese was subpar. Tasted like it came out of a can. Very disappointed in it. Overall I'd go back again for the tenders or to try wings or to try a fried chicken sammie.I just hop in the meantime they work on their mac and cheese game...

My community service organization had one of our monthly meetings here on a Wednesday, so I got to try a couple of things by splitting with a friend.

My waffle loving self can't pass up any waffle menu items, so getting Combo #6 with waffle and 2 drumsticks ($16.88) was a must! Got the drumsticks with original flavor and the combo also comes with cajun fries and a fountain drink. Waffle was crisp and the drumsticks were crisp and juicy. Their self serve fountain machine was Pepsi-based.

I split the 10 piece legend tenders ($23.88) with friend. Got the half (5 pc) and half (5 pc) with mild and honey bee. Heads up that the honey bee flavor is a bit spicy so I ended up eating more of that as my friend found it too spicy for him. Great breading and flavor for both!

Good amount of indoor seating. Our group took up two tables comfortably. Lots of parking in the plaza, so pretty easy...

First I apologize for not uploading a picture, but as soon as I opened up the Legend Sampler, I was blown away and immediately started eating it as soon as I popped open the lid. I have lived in DB for 4 yrs now, tried multiple chicken places around me. This place is by far one of my favorite places. The Sando... mac and cheese in the sandwich?!!! Amazing and delicious combination! I got the medium spicy because I was sharing with my son, but I will definitely level up the spicy level on my next trip. Now, I love me some coleslaw. The coleslaw here, tastes homemade. I never ate multiple different types of chicken at once, but after trying it here, it won't be my last time.
