Visiting Dickinson on business from Ohio. I have been here for 5 days now and have already eaten at the King Buffet twice! Excellent quality and taste of the food, as well as a great variety of dishes to choose from. Everything I have tried here is well seasoned and delicious. General Tsao's Chicken, Pepper steak, Chicken and broccoli, fried rice, low mein, shrimp, chicken wings, Teriyaki chicken skewers, crab legs, and on and on. Hard to find a buffet where ALL of the dishes seem to be good. One of the best Asian food buffets I have eaten in, anywhere, and I have sampled many from across the country and in other countries as well. The service is excellent and those who work there are pleasant, courteous and helpful, which prompted me to leave good tips both times. And the cost is very reasonable so it is an equally good value. It costs slightly over $20 for one person, so about $25 total with the tip. And the bathroom is relatively clean for a restaurant. And it's a great location as it is right on 3rd Ave and right off of the I-94 exit. I highly...
Read moreMy husband works in the Dickinson area approximately every 6 to 8 weeks. I usually travel with him. We order from King Buffet at least a couple of times for the two weeks we are here. The food my husband likes is the sweet and sour chicken and the veggie fried rice; we both enjoy the veggie lo mein; my favorite is the pork egg roll. We have it delivered to our hotel - not without errors periodically, but we call them and they correct the problem. I know a lot of other people have described their horrible experiences here, but there are not a lot of good food choices, to say the least. I think it's not a matter of finding the best restaurants but more important to find food that you can like at different places. If you ever need a recommendation, I'm sure that between my husband and I we could tell you where to find the food you are looking for! I couldn't accurately rate the decor and service inside of the restaurant, as we have only had delivery, so I rated them as good in an attempt to be fair to...
Read morewhen I first came to Dickinson they were still in their tiny little home inn the wall. Part of the novelty of the only Chinese buffet in town was the very fact that you clinked chairs with your neighbor every time you went up to get another serving due to the campy cramped quarters. The food was good, and the people ware always so proud of their tiny, but busy buffet! They also had a UNLIMITED chocolate milk machine (which all the locals knew about) and a good selection of self serve ice cream. Now they have literally blown out the walls and have returned with the new and improved expanded restaurant. It is much nicer now, with more seating area and a sushi bar. Drinks are now extra, and the endless chocolate milk has gone the way of the proverbial dinosaur. The variety of the buffet however has increased. They are still as friendly as ever! Hey it is what it is, but everyone has a soft spot for...
