DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Dickson

Let me start by saying the staff was very friendly and efficient. Great service. BUT. This review isn't about the staff or the service or cleanliness. I found all of that to be great.

The actual food isn't good and you'd be better going to Laredo's. It's cheaper and the food tastes amazing. When I asked the Dos Bros employee what type of flour the tortillas were made of, he just said, "Um, flour?" So I just ended up getting a salad since I didn't want to press further because of the line behind me. I asked for spicy tofu (which I love), which they had, and it looked delicious, but it wasn't even remotely spicy. It tasted like Chef Boyardee ravioli. It was awful, no seasoning. They have almost no veggies, just rice, beans, grilled peppers, salsa, and condiments. Since I couldn't have rice and beans due to dietary restriction, I had a very small salad and it cost me $13+ Since the advert is a place for vegan/gluten free people, I expected quite a bit more. I went to Dos Bros, on January 3rd. When I paid for both meals, I was buying that evening, I told them I had a coupon on my phone for the 2 for 12 deal. The lady at the register told me that deal was over. I paid the regular price for my meals with hesitation. After I was seated, I decided to double check the coupon that was text to my phone. I'll list it below for clarification:

91681 - DosBros Grill Alert: Troy Pick 2 For $12! Offer available EVERYDAY after 4pm! Excludes Steak/Nachos ($1 add on)

That is the exact wording of the text coupon on my phone. I went back up to the lady at the register, and told her she needed to honor the coupon on my phone, because it did not have an expiration, and other coupons for DosBros did have an expiration. She went to get the owner or her supervisor, and he told me that the promotion was over. I stated that I felt he should honor the coupon since they did not have an expiration date on this coupon, that I received on December 20. The man would not give me a refund. I will be contacting the Corporate headquarters. Poor...

Very dissatisfied with the burrito I got today. I ordered online and was very excited to pick up my delicious burrito. I came and picked it up in less than ten minutes which was a plus. I appreciate quick service, but when I took my first bite I realized how they made it so quickly. It was disgusting. The only place the sour cream was located was at the top of the burrito. So, my first half of the burrito was a soggy mixture of tortilla and sour cream. After I finished eating all the sour cream in the burrito I reached the worst part: the white rice. Let me tell you, I've never eaten rice as HARD as the rice in that burrito. It was like a rock; I swallowed a few pieces before I set the burrito down in defeat. I lost this battle. To top it off, there were no napkins in the bag. So not only was I left hungry, I was also left with a mess. Thanks Dos Bros....
