Tater Shack — Restaurant in Dickson

So I wanted to to share my experience because I found it seriously funny. So I just spend almost $30 on food there. I asked for everything on my taco salad that is suppose to be cold on the side " lettuce, tomato, sour cream " my food was brought out with the sour cream on the side and everything else hot? So I told the young man at the front, I asked for everything on the side. This lady walks up and tells me it was all in the oven. So I explained to her that I requested the cold items to be on the side. Instead of apologizing for the confusion she just grabs it and sounded like she just threw it away and made another one. Without anything being said, like I was in the wrong when they had it wrong. So the young man hands me my food, and I told him that she was nice when I arrived but seemed very rude and that could have been handled differently. He proceeded to say , " please do not say that about my manager" I said excuse me? And he repeated himself. I told him if that was how your manager treats her customers... I am a paying customer and I will say what ever the hell I need to say. It was not my fault he was not clear about my order and I shouldn't have been made to feel like I was a bother when I just spent my money at this establishment. I am seriously in disbelief, who ever owns this establishment needs a new manager and needs to train their staff on how to treat their customers. Again, what was a misunderstanding could have been handled in a professional way... example, oh I'm so sorry for the misunderstanding. Let me remake that for you. I will...

So.....I read the many great reviews about this place and thought I would try it out myself. Wow! Worse place I have been in all of dickson (other than KFC) We ordered 2 polish dogs with ketchup, mustard and cheese, and broccoli soup. sat in the drive thru for about 25 minutes after ordering before we ever got our food....girl in the drive thru was somewhat rude both when we pulled in and when we were given the food. Broccoli soup was basically hot watered down cheese with pretty close to raw broccoli. The polish dogs?? Well, a picture is worth a thousand words, took one bite, and threw it in the garbage. Oh my gosh, this cute little shack has quality service and excellent food! I love the fact that all the order choices come with the baked potato and margarine. If you don't like margarine, you can't really taste the regular order's worth of it. You can always ask for extra!! The next thing I love is that, like any amazing place, have shirts and sweatshirts you can buy in the shack. The shirts say hilarious things printed on them. The words on the clothing items even made my grandma laugh!! I mean, making my grandma laugh isn't that hard, but I bet I can make many more people laugh. The Tater Shack is a nice, little Southern place that gives you someplace a little less fancy to go to...
