GameStop — Local services in Dickson

I bought an amiibo for my son to use on the Nintendo Switch based on the store employee’s word that it was compatible for Mario Kart 8. We asked to make sure it would work before purchase. We walked outside the store to our car in the parking lot to discover the amiibo they sold us is not compatible. After verifying the Nintendo and the software was up to date, we attempted to do a return, less than 5 minutes after purchase. We were told we were not able to return the incompatible amiibo, even though we only bought it because they told us it would work....

Game stop in Dickson is a trap. If you buy a new game and though they have your purchases on the computer they will not return your full purchase cost. Supposebly as long as it's before 7 days your purchase is in full. Clarksville game stop honors that Dickson does not. Now they're triple charging a friend for a game by removing the$$ from his checking. Dickson is a scam. GameStop is quickly following suite. Just our oppion. Pay for their membership lose money or find other options....

Game didnt work didnt even bother to check if game was readable on the system or not. I know updates and installs take for ever but you could at least pop the disc in a console to verify it is working or readable before selling it to someone and then have them have to waste time and money(gas) to return it to get a refund. Ill just order from ebay at least ebay checks that their games work properly before...
