Logan's Roadhouse — Restaurant in Dickson

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! We dined in on Tuesday (June 29) around 7pm to celebrate my son's 10th birthday with dinner at his favorite restaurant. It wasn't busy, we were taken directly to a booth, but it went down hill from there. We sat for atleast 10 mins before our server finally came to greet us and get our drink order. We got our drinks and ordered our food and then didnt see her again for about 25 minutes (not kidding). She came by finally and refilled our empty glasses that had been sitting. We waited another 20 mins and she finally brought our food and started telling us how she was doing side work and had asked 3 or 4 different people to bring our food to us and then went back to check and it had just been sitting. She said she was "supposed to have been off an hour ago, but they sat her with 4 more tables". We ate, the food was cold, there were no peanuts, and honestly that was the whole reason my son wanted to eat there, he was very bummed. She brought our check and we waited a while for her to come back so that we could pay and leave. We went to the front to see if we could pay there or to speak to a manger, but found no one. She came back, we paid and we left. This was one of the worst experiences we've had dining out. The server just didn't care. Maybe she had a long day, a bad day, IDK..but this was inexcusable!! If I would have had time to speak to a manager, I definitely would have, but all the waiting we had to do, we were 30 mins late to pick my daughter up from work...and honestly, we were just over it, and wanted to leave. If you are thinking of going there to celebrate something, I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHOSING THIS LOCATION! We didn't even ask for staff to do whatever they do for a birthday (singing, a piece of cake, whatever it may be) because we just wanted out of there...really sucked for my son because our intent was to celebrate him, but that didn't work out. Ok, As I've said before I don't write reviews to places I've only been to once, or if I just haven't had consistent enough experience. Well, sadly here I have. first, I have to brag on the service, the waitresses we have had are fairly consistent at being outstanding. Our service today was as good as could be expected. The manager did what he could as well, cudos to his efforts. However, apparently Logan's doesn't care about either hiring or training the cooks on steaks. You'd think it being a Roadhouse that's about steaks, it would get this right. However, after more than a few years of consistently getting over cooked steaks I would HIGHLY recommend a trip down to Colton's (they have their moments, but overall they do a good job). This Logan's is another place that I had basically sworn off of, until recently and decided that after this much time surely they'd get it right. Sadly however, my medium Well steak was well done, and a very DRY well done at that. I've had steaks come out before slightly off, and that's fine, it happens, but at this Logan's it has been consistent EVERY time I go. Other food that was delivered was good, My wife's salad, and Mom's Chicken Tenders were exactly as the Waitress said they would be, good job on both. The manager offered to replace the steak, but I didn't have time to wait for another one. Now, understand, that when we were there (and when we left) there were maybe 4 customer cars in the whole lot. So, it couldn't have been because they were busy, and the cook was overloaded. The worst experience we've ever had! Wish i could give no stars. We were in town for a funeral & itd been a long day so we decided to eat & drive home it was also my grandsons 2nd bday. Our family is & has been in food industry for generations. My son gave our server a $5 tip & said you take care of us & you'll get more when we're done. I found a hair in my salad first the server kept blatantly ignoring us not refilling our drinks & even when i tried calling her to the table she kept going but she was taking good care of the table behind us. We 3 adults got steaks & all 3 were cooked incorrectly the girl that brought them out didnt even ask uz to cut into them to see if they were ok first so they all had to be sent back. I asked to speak to mngr & GM came & did NOTHING! we had been there so long we needed to leave so asked that our food be boxed when ready & i asked the names of server & mngrs bc it was soo bad I've got to inform corporate. We still had to pay for most of the meal as well which was absurd bc we didnt get to eat there while its hot & all that went wrong. 1 mngr gave a few coupons but guess what there expired!! I never got to eat my salad that was replaced or anything just a roll & couple tater skins from appetizer!! If we'd gotten good service the server would've walked away with a great tip bc it was a large bill. We work hard for our pay also & if I'm going to pay $20+ for a meal i want to eat it hot & it cooked correctly without hairs & i knew it wasn't mine bc my hair is blue!!! Find another place in Dickson to eat & that's sad bc its...
