My dining experience at Cayo Caribe was nothing short of spectacular. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Caribbean cuisine, offering a menu that's both vibrant and bursting with flavor. Each dish served was a delightful exploration of taste and texture, prepared with the freshest ingredients.
The standout dish for me was the seafood mofongo, which was exquisitely cooked and beautifully presented. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, showcasing a perfect blend of traditional spices and modern culinary techniques. Other menu items were equally impressive, making it hard to choose a favorite.
The atmosphere at Cayo Caribe adds to its charm. The décor is themed around a Caribbean escape, with colorful accents and a warm, welcoming vibe. It's an ideal setting for a casual dinner with friends or a special occasion with loved ones.
Service at Cayo Caribe deserves a special mention. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely eager to ensure a great dining experience. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our meal with perfectly paired drinks.
Cayo Caribe is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality Caribbean cuisine in a relaxed and friendly environment. I left with a smile on my face and a plan to return soon. Highly recommended for an unforgettable...
Read moreLet me start by saying that this was the first restaurant my wife and I went to on our vacation to Puerto Rico. It was a nice place that was clean and the service was pretty good. I had a type of seafood sampler that was good and my wife had a fish sandwich that was massive and my wife cut it in half so she could eat it. She was only able to eat one half at the restaurant so we took the other half back to our hotel and put it in the fridge. The next day when my wife went to heat the sandwich up she made an unfortunate discovery (THERE WAS A COCKROACH MIXED INTO THE COLE SLAW ON THE SANDWICH )!!!!! This was disturbing and very gross 🤮. I attempted to contact the manager, but the girl I spoke with took my number and said that the manager would call me back but I never received a call. I tried to call them again and surprise surprise their phone was busy like the whole night!!! So beware of this place and you might want to steer clear of it. There are plenty of other places in Puerto...
Read moreDrinks were reasonable (under $10). Appetizer of “arranitas” (shredded fried plantains) with king crab was very plentiful. They were not stingy with the crab at all. Good Asian type spicy flavor to it. Very enjoyable. Service was quick and attentive. Mofongo with a seafood variety in butter garlic sauce was super good. So much flavor to it and just the right amount of sauce. The fried dorado pieces plate was accompanied with a tarter/Mayo-ketchup type sauce that was great for dipping. The surprisingly over the top yummy part of the plate were the beans! Best ones we’ve had yet! The coconut sauce on the snapper filet was out of this world! Just the right amount of almost sweetness to the seafood. And everything was piping hot. Burnt my tongue - twice! 😂 I just couldn’t wait to get the next spoonful in my mouth! Overall, we would come back in a heartbeat. Can’t wait to try other plates at this amazing authentically...
