Two of us were seated on Sunday evening before 6pm. The left side of the restaurant had a few tables seated, we were seated to the right with no others seated over there yet. Our server was prompt to arrive with water and a small table for our handbag which was a pleasant surprise, the host's "my pleasure" was also very nice. Our server was very nice and presented a friendly smile. The ceviche tacos were great and plenty to share as they came with 5 street style tacos. When our appetizer was arriving there were 3 other tables seated nearby. The seared tuna for dinner was cooked perfectly as described and presented very nicely. The saltimboca on the other hand was neither, as it arrived as 1 piece of overcooked chicken with a slice of prosciutto, basil and melted cheese and not the veal dish I thought would arrive. As we were waiting for dinner to arrive, others around us including another couple and family of 3 had been seated, served and finsihed eating dinner, the couple had even left as we were still waiting for ours to arrive. As we waited another 10 minutes after receiving a small box for our togo was brought to pay, we questioned if we did something wrong to receive poor or subpar service than the rest of the restaurant. Atmosphere was the most...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant because the menu looked fantastic and appealing to our desires for high quality food. The food that we ordered was decent. We got the wagyu burgers but they were not cooked to the desired temperature. The truffle fries were actually quite good though. Our BIGGEST complaint is with the service. Our table was ignored for 25 minutes after walking in. Many other tables were receiving food, so we thought maybe they just hit a busy time, but even after the surge of food our table was still ignored. Another couple with a baby were already getting their appetizers. A member of our group asked and a waitress came over and said she wasn't our normal waitress and apologized. We honestly don't really know why we were ignored. Originally we thought that it might be because we are mainlanders or because we weren't dressed as well as others (we were coming back from toroverde) but after reading some other reviews complaining about the timeliness of service, tal vez no sea cierto. I truly hope this is just a service problem and not one of discrimination as other reviews seem to indicate. There are many other things we would have liked to try on the menu as the offerings match our taste. But for now, we won't be...
Read moreSo we went to KGB Dorado for breakfast today and we were truly disappointed. This place has changed, its no longer a trendy locals joint, now its more of a tourist trap. We went in and the place was empty only two tables, we were seated by the hostess but waited over 10 minutes for our waitress to come by our table. We ordered the Ham Croquettes as appetizers as well as two Irish coffees and as for main dishes we ordered the Salmon Benedict and the Waffles with eggs and chorizo. The appetizers and the coffees took 15 minute's even though the restaurant was empty. The croquettes were a disappointment they were not fresh and were greasy and over cooked, but worst of all was the coffees which had a powerful burnt flavor to them. As for the main dishes they were well presented and the waffles with chorizo was the best plate of the meal even though the chorizo was so over cooked as to be dead. The Salmon Benedicts were totally underwhelming, the hollandaise was tasteless as was the salmon, and the eggs were overcooked and one was hard boiled. Overall I would not recommend this...
