GardenSushi — Restaurant in Dorado

Loved this place, my wife and i drive to this place from Hatillo to Dorado just to eat here and have some coffee. That is until today(02/28/2021) this was our 4th week coming to this place to eat as a takeout. We call and placed the order as weeks before, but we notice that time pass more than an hour and we didn’t receive the call(like the used to do 3 times before)from the restaurant to go ahead and pick up the food(it’s carry out), so we decided to call and they told that the food was already out, that we could come and pick it up, when i went into the restauran to get i was received by this disrespectful lady, when i asked her why didn’t they call, she said in a very rude manner that they don’t call back and i told her that i had previously received calls from them to go and pick it up she replied that it was the customer responsibility to make sure that the food was pick up ok time......i was shock by her response and the way of her response, the food was really cold and had to dispose of it. Any ways, the food is great (when it’s hot and fresh)but the service was awful, not coming again aver!!!! To the owners, great food, horrible service from...

Update: I am so glad we decided to give this restaurant another try. They certainly upped their game this time. The crispy orange shrimp and crispy orange chicken were both excellent. See the pictures. The steamed vegetables were ordered as a side and were also yummy. The service was spot on this time. Great meal all around!

Decent sushi and sashimi in Dorado. We ordered the combo for 2 that included 12 pieces of sashimi and 2 basic sushi rolls along with miso soup. It was all good but not among the best we have had. The seaweed salad was average also. The pineapple fried rice was well prepared and a very large portion. Service was kind of spotty with most staff sitting around eating and talking while we ate and waited...

I ended up here on New Year's Day because I didn't want fast food but I didn't want a three hour meal either and I am so happy this is where I landed! The sushi is flavorful and well balanced with the classic rolls and a few local twists. The service was top notch - helpful, quick, and cordial. I felt taken care of but not rushed or like I was being constantly stared at. I will definitely be back when I'm in the mood for delicious, well priced sushi and a calming peaceful atmosphere!
