Normally i will not make this sorts of reviews, however my experience was less than enjoyable. I've been to this location plenty of times before and even though mistakes have been made there's never been as many issues as i had yesterday. I will start by letting you know that our autistic son has recently been diagnosed with cancer, so needless to say this visit was to enjoy a nice meal and distress a little. Our waitress, a senior person was very sweet, however her skills for taking orders was slacking, she confused the orders about 3 times, leaving us with not only hungry but not satisfying our actual food craving. Now when she finally got our order correct then the real disappointment started. i had ordered a "Dulce de Leche" pancakes with no eggs.... i received burnt pancakes with whipped cream that turned into white soup because the pancakes were hot (mind you i know they do not come with whipped cream) once i told her this, she responded with "that's how they gave them to me"... I asked for the bacon cheddar tots, the 1st time i received them it was nacho cheddar tots, i sent them back and she brings me BURNT bacon cheddar tots. My husband on the hand had asked for Grand Slam Slugger, scrambled eggs, and white toast extra butter (the latter never arrived) for his drink he wanted a coke which he got at the beginning however, she forced an orange juice onto him because it came with the meal even though we told her we didn't want it. My bill came out to 28.19, we rounded out to 30.00 (yes the service was really that bad). However, we were charged 36.00. Not that my family struggles are your responsibility, but when we or anyone goes to your establishment is to enjoy, in my case was to enjoy a meal and for a few moments not think about the battle ahead. This was by far the worse experience of my visits and most...
Read moreYesterday, I arrived in Miami, after my vacation in Colombia. My family and I were hungry, so we decided to visit the local Denny's. My family of four which consist of 2 women and 2 young girls. We were seated in the back of the restaurant near the bathroom even tho there were other tables available but quickly reseated after we asked the bus boy. So, we're sitting there laughing and reminiscing Bout our vacation , and it is that 5 families came in after us and each table was served their food! I was flawed and flabbergasted. When I say I never felt hurtful outgoing of racism, this is why I don't understand what is going on in this country. We asked for the manager and questioned why we hadn't received our order after 35 minutes of sitting..No, we didn't order elaborate meals, very simple easy to be prepared in 20 minutes. The manager asked "Would you like me to see what is taking so long" but after all that time passes we didn't want our order and stated we would be leaving. She said, " What yall going to eat then?" As if there were no other options. After the contact we decided to leave but we made sure to offer to pay for our two root beer sodas and one lemonade but the manager declined to accept payment. I was flawed and tried to explain to our little black girls why this was happening in the 21st century. The irony of the situation is the waitress didn't even speak ENGLISH. But, we were respectful and used Google translate to help in ordering. This location is filled with hatred and racist behavior towards people of color!.I made the layover into a 2 day stay to visit my family but I can't wait to get back to my BLUE state. We were respectful of all races. I made sure to offer to pay bcuz I didn't want them to call the police for theft of service. Terrible service I would give 0 stars...
Read moreI ordered a double cheeseburger in the afternoon the 2 previous days. The burgers were fresh and correct portion for double cheeseburger. Then I came later in the day today, 06/16/22. The double cheeseburger was short 2 burger pucks, it was like ordering a double from 2-4-6-8 menu but full price. I use to work for Denny’s. Hamburger and hash browns is fairly safe to order. I’m not going to order anything I consider high risk. Craving CFS the other day but was afraid to order it because the gravy is definitely a risk from a low volume location.
This is a very busy area. Consider what you are doing wrong, it should be busy. Not allowing for substitutions that a corporate store allows is not good for business. Yesterday I asked to substitute the hash browns for an egg. I couldn’t have an egg instead of hash browns. An egg costs 20 cents, it doesn’t hurt you. I want a fried egg on my burger, but not for $3.69 or whatever it is. 2000% markup on an egg is ridiculous. An egg isn’t considered a burger topping, I understand this is not common in this region but a fried egg should be available as a burger topping.
I was not only a server at Denny’s but I previously owned an independent restaurant. Everything I offered was fresh, volume was high enough that standard margin was enough profit to be very successful; 300% of volume was enough. I never shorted the customers plate to keep a few cents.
If you turn people off from your business how do you expect to stay in business?
Shorting my plate 50 cents worth of food lost you a customer. On the other hand the burger could have been made with the correct amount of burger pucks, you could have added an egg as a topping or anything a customer asks. Because that’s what good service is- That’s how businesses are...
