I had the pleasure of visiting Famous Dave’s Doral for the first time while staying at the Marriott for a wedding weekend with my family. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic.
The Cajun pasta I ordered was nothing short of extraordinary one of the best I’ve ever had! It was so delicious that I’m already planning a return visit just to enjoy it again.
Our waitress, Carla, was exceptional. She was incredibly pleasant and attentive, ensuring our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. We were so impressed that we asked to speak with Frank, the manager, to share our appreciation for Carla’s outstanding service. Frank himself was equally delightful, friendly, professional, and welcoming.
To top it off, he generously offered me a bottle of Famous Dave’s Wilbur’s Revenge Hot Sauce, adding a memorable touch to an already perfect dining experience.
If you’re ever in town, Famous Dave’s Doral is a must-visit destination. Great food, outstanding service, and a warm, friendly atmosphere make it a place worth returning to time and time again.

Our visit to Famous Dave's in Doral was a delightful experience from start to finish, with Angelica as our attentive and friendly waiter. Her warm demeanor and excellent service set the tone for the evening.
I ordered the Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Pasta without mushrooms and green onions once again. It was hands down, one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had still to this day. The sauce was flavorful, the shrimp perfectly cooked, and the chicken was tender and well-seasoned.
My family opted for a variety of dishes, including the ribs, pulled pork, chicken, and cornbread. While there was a minor mishap with one of our orders, the manager personally came out to address the issue. Their professionalism and genuine concern ensured that everything was made right, enhancing our overall experience.
When the corrected order arrived, it was worth the wait. I normally steer clear of pulled pork as it can often be dry, but I was pleasantly surprised by how tender, juicy, and flavorful it was. The cornbread, a classic staple, was a hit with its perfect texture and slight sweetness.
Famous Dave's Doral didn’t just serve us a meal—they delivered a memorable dining experience. The combination of great food, exceptional service, and management’s dedication to customer satisfaction left a lasting impression. We’ll definitely be...

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Famous Dave’s Doral last night was incredibly disappointing and honestly, unacceptable for any establishment claiming to value customer service.
I arrived at 10:20 PM, well before their listed closing time of 11:00 PM. I understand that coming in later in the evening might not be ideal for the staff, but I still expected to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was far from what I received.
From the moment I walked in, the bartender, Alexnie, made it clear with her body language and facial expressions that I was not welcome. She didn’t greet me, didn’t smile, and instead looked visibly irritated that a customer had the audacity to show up “so late.” I’ve worked in hospitality before—I know what the end of a shift feels like—but there’s still a professional way to handle it, and this was not it.
At 10:50 PM, she came over and abruptly told me “we’re closing,” with an annoyed and almost aggressive tone. There was no “take your time,” “last call,” or even a polite reminder—just a blunt dismissal. It was clear she wanted me out, and fast. She barely said a word otherwise, gave off a cold, dismissive attitude, and made me feel more like a burden than a guest.
To be clear: I wasn’t lingering. I ordered quickly, wasn’t disruptive, and expected a basic level of service. But instead of being treated like a customer, I felt like I was being pushed out the door the moment I sat down. I get that closing time was approaching, but if you’re open until 11:00 PM, then you should be willing to serve guests who arrive before then—not treat them like an inconvenience.
It’s unfortunate because I’ve enjoyed Famous Dave’s in other locations, but this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth (and not because of the food). Customer service is just as important as what’s on the plate—and in this case, it was completely lacking.
If you don’t want to serve customers past a certain time, change your hours. But don’t stay open until 11:00 PM and then treat people like they’re unwelcome at 10:20 PM.
Definitely won’t be returning to...
Read moreMy husband and I visited the Doral location this evening. I wish I could have given this place a big fat ZERO. The servers were clearly aware of our presence but totally ignored us. Although we aren’t in the same ethnic group as their employees and the majority of their customers, we just wanted a bbq meal on this 4th of July. So disappointing!!!
As we were being seated, one server with blond hair was cleaning the table across from us and when he finished , he stood in the kitchen area socializing. Another server came from the restroom and leaned against the wall texting on his phone. Another server went near the kitchen area socializing after she served the couple behind us. When a family of four was seated about 8-10 minutes after us that female server went directly to their table to take their order. There were other servers hanging out in the kitchen area as well.
When my husband went to the from desk to inquire about being served, I noticed that the servers who were hanging out near the kitchen area disbursed. One of the servers, the guy with the blind hair moved behind the drink dispenser. My husband spoke with the greeter, Frank C. who was said to be disrespectful, belligerent and argumentative toward my husband. My husband said that the greeter spoke to him as if he didn’t have the right to complain about the lousy service.
The manager, Shelly P. came to the front to speak with us, stating that she was unaware of what was going on because she was in the back. So, I’m wondering who is managing who. After requesting the corporate information, Shelly returned after a period of with the company’s email address, stating that she had to look online for it.
My husband is a Navy veteran and served this country for years and worked as an educator for 15 years in Doral. He is so upset in being treated in this manner, especially on the 4th of July.
Thank goodness they’re not the only place that sells bbq. We’re on our way to our usual bbq spot, Shorty’s Bbq. Although we’re always in the minority ethnic group at Shorty’s,, we’re always treated with respect and receive excellent service. We now know where to spend my our...
