We ordered two cake slices to go, but they didn’t look fresh at all. Maybe it was because we went later in the day, but they looked like they had been sitting out for a while. When we tried the red velvet, the cocoa seemed to have separated from the mixture, which was disappointing.
As Peruvians in the area, we really wanted to love this spot, but unfortunately we didn’t. Maybe it was just an off day and we wouldn’t be opposed to trying again, but with so much competition in Doral, freshness and quality are key. The other desserts, especially the ones with strawberries like the pavlova, also didn’t look very appealing. The alfajores seemed more like alfajores de miel than the classic manjarblanco version, which was surprising and a little underwhelming.

Read moreIf you haven’t tried the Pavlova at Lima Bakery, you are seriously missing out. It’s hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had — light, airy meringue with the perfect crisp shell, topped with fresh fruit and just the right amount of cream. Every bite is balanced and absolutely delicious. You can tell it’s made with real care and top-quality ingredients. What makes the experience even better is the owner is always there, greeting customers with a warm smile and making sure everything runs smoothly. You can feel the pride and passion in how they run the place. It’s rare these days to see that kind of hands-on dedication. On top of that, the customer service is exceptional — friendly, attentive, and welcoming every single time. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, they make you feel...

We ordered a manjar de Lucuma chocolate cake cup, bread full of olives with pecans, onions, and more (honestly life changing), and a pionono (not pictured). The owner was there he was very super nice and gave great hospitality. The place was so cute and cozy. I have tried other Peruvian bakeries, but this one is everything and more. I will def will a frequent customer and bring friends/family here. So if you are craving good sweets/bites you need to...
