Horrible experience. I thought the problems might have been due to recently opening after Covid but found out they reopened a month ago. When we were sat there were 11 other people in the restaurant We were given a paper menu with a beer menu stapled to it. The server came over to ask if we wanted a drink. Started asking for individual beers. After asking for 7 different ones and told we dont have that one after each request I ask what do you have? I was told about 5 beers that included Budweiser, Bud Light, stella, Michelob and Michelob light. This is an Ale House right. We both ordered the chicken finger platter that came with fries and what they said was coleslaw however it was cabbage with some carrots, no dressing was detectable. One silverware packet only had knife in it. The table behind us had the same issue with that. The chicken was burnt prerty bad. Complained about the over done chicken to the server who left to get a person in a "chef" coat. He asked if we wanted another platter I refused to which he replied " I feel you", the other guest accepted. The remake took another 30 minutes so long that he brought it out in a to go box and put it on the table with a "here ya go". Then we waited for another 10 minutes so we could ask for the bill. After another 10 minutes he brought the full bill to the table. We asked if he was really going to charge for both platters he replied, " the manager came to the table right"? We informed him that we didn't both take the remake I only ate the fries and one burnt finger. We asked do you think that is right? He went to ask the manager and we got the bill with one platter taken off aftet another 10 minutes. Meanwhile during the entire meal there was a cat in the restaurant hunting for food. Multiple employees walked by the cat and manger until one of them heard us talking about it and tried make the cat leave with her shoe. Didn't work. Right before we left we asked the server how long they had been reopened and he told us it was about a month. Asked then why the lack of beers. "Oh they are all in the back but they dont want to have them go bad if we have to shut down again" What is the shelf life of a bottled beer? Did you diconnect your power service last time? If both of those things were the issue tha would be acceptable but don't hand out a beer list and let people ask one by one for a beer in an Ale house. If you aren't prepared to reopen and hold yourself to certain quality standard don't...
Read moreWe were there around 2 p.m. and it was pretty empty. We ordered a hamburger with fries and I ordered the lunch special. I chose the 1/2 Reuben sandwich and the ceasar salad. I paid $2 extra and ordered the French onion soup. My husband ordered his hamburger medium and it came out almost mooing. After finally getting the waitresses attention, we showed her and then figured we'd be safe to order it medium well. They obviously, instead of giving us a new burger used the same one and now instead if almost raw, it was super rare. My husband ate the French fries. The waitress asked if he wanted the burger sent back again and he said forget it, just charge me footer the fries I ate.
My baked French onion soup was horrible, and I know a good French onion soup. The broth was super strong tasting, barely any onion in it, and just a dollop of cheese on top. Needless to say I didn't finish it. Not even baked or broiled to give the impression of it being baked. The 1/2 Ruben sandwich was super greasy that I couldn't finish it either. The best thing was the ceasar salad. It was tasty. I would never go back to this place again. Maybe other locations are not that horrible. Hopefully their regular chef called in sick and this is not the regular one, because this cook obviously hadn't worked in this position before, otherwise they need a new chef.
On a positive note, I have heard that they make good alcoholic drinks, but we didn't order any. Maybe if we were drunk enough we wouldn't have noticed how bad...

This place has been overlooked by many im sure. Not the easiest place to see while driving by. I have been enough times recently to see the menu has changed slightly and improved. There are many choices in the area but I feel like CAH offers a wide enough menu. I always try something new. I can definetly remember the great service I got from there. Particularly from Sara the bartender. If your in the area stop by. Say hi to Sara and try the burgers. I'll be back...
