This was my first and last visit to this deli. I'm not sure if the mayhem that ensued today was due to Hurricane Irma or just a regular day at McAlister's but it was horrible. Communication between employees was terrible regarding the pick-up orders. All the employees working this section looked like chickens with their heads cut off, just scrambling around and on top of each other. I placed a mobile order at 1:07pm and did not receive my order until 2:16pm. My order was only a cup of veggie chili and a half veggie club. Finally asking again about my order, the cashier found it placed to the stowed away to the right of the register. Who knows how long my order was sitting idle. After all this time, my order was incorrect. I received regular chili and 1/4 veggie club. After bringing this to the manager's attention, she tried to tell me that the portions in the pictures are bigger to which I said no this is not half a sandwhich/club. She then made the rest of the club. Throughout the visit, I witnessed other customers complain about their orders being incorrect. Many ingredients used in meals were out so the employees made their own substitutions without notifying the customers, my order included. At least with Panera Bread if an ingredient is missing, I'm made aware before my order is made. I've even receives calls from Panera alerting me an option is not available and asked what should be substituted in its place. Today at McAlister' s was an all around terrible experience and I hate that because I really like McAlister' s when I go back home to Mississippi. Sorry to say but I won't be back and am truly disappointed, I was so happy to find out there was finally another piece of home in Miami. The only good thing about this experience were the Zesta crackers. They weren't stale unlike the crackers in Miss. they're always stale. I'll continue to give my money to Panera Bread. No thanks...
Read moreI have been working in Florida for the past 6 months and have chosen McAlister's through Uber eats on a few occasions.
The services is hit and miss. When I request Mayo on the side or to add onions to a sandwich 4 out of the last 5 times I ordered they forget. I don't know if they read the Uber Eats feedback but I have mentioned this a few times.
Now, quality of the food. While I love onions and they forget them, the food is still nothing short of amazing. Quality meats and veggies used for every sandwich, and today I tried the Chicken Tortilla soup which was IMHO a 5 star soup. Delicious, creamy and flavorful. This was coupled with a half a wrap as part of a combo and the wrap was delicious as well. So I remove 1 star for the constant missing onions I keep asking for, but if not for that this would be 5 star all the way.
To the owners, please work with your staff to pay attention to all order tickets. It gets frustrating when I have to go hunting through work for Mayonnaise, which BTW shroud come on a club sandwich automatically, not Mustard Otherwise, stick with the quality meats and veggies you're using as it helps make up for the missing requested items 80%...
Read moreThis is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Last week, I waited in line to place my order, and when I approached the register, I was met by Ms. Destiny. Throughout the ordering process, Destiny was extremely rude and seemed to be intentionally trying to confuse me. While waiting for my food, I overheard Destiny speaking loudly about my appearance and making unkind remarks about how I was dressed. When another employee informed her that I could hear everything, she just laughed and continued with her inappropriate comments. I confronted her and asked to speak with the manager, but she claimed the manager wasn’t there and that she was the shift leader that day. In my opinion, Destiny is unfit to work in customer service, let alone lead a team. She sets a poor example for others and creates a negative atmosphere for customers. I even tried to reach the manager on a different day by phone, but no one answered. Destiny’s behavior is unacceptable, and she should not be allowed to continue working in this establishment.
