I ordered from Piola today via UberEats and needless to say the experience was less than pleasant. My order said it was due to arrive at 1:10 pm, but by 1:30 my food had not yet arrived and the UberEats app kept delaying the arrival time. I contacted Piola to find out what the hold up was. The man explained that the order was ready for a while but the driver had not yet picked up the order. I asked him if they could reach out to the driver to determine ETA, since they were extremely late. The man I spoke to was rude and not helpful at all, stating that he did not have access to contact the Uber driver, which I know for a fact is not true. He basically told me to pick up the food myself, after I had already paid Uber fees. He ended up hanging up the phone on me after I asked for his name, which is Fernando. The food arrived almost at 2, after being set to arrive at 1:10 pm. I spoke to the Uber driver when she arrived and she tells me that the restaurant lied to me, stating that she arrived to pick up the food on time, but the restaurant made her wait because the food wasn't ready, and she went as far as to say that this has happened several times with Piola. I'm upset about the whole experience. I'm pregnant and had to wait almost an hour longer for my food. Fernando's customer service was terrible to say the least and my very simple spaghetti and meatballs $23 later was not worth it....
Read moreThis is a chain restaurant, but at least this location makes you feel like you have gone to your favorite local place just around the corner.
Three of us were from Doral, and two of us from Wisconsin, but none of us had been here before. We wanted a 7pm reservation on a Friday night, and the online reservation was easy to use and easy to change our reservation a day later. I highly recommend!!
The calamari was perfect and the marinara was fresh. Piola’s Meatballs—mixed to perfection and served hot with awesome focaccia sticks. You MUST get it with Burrata Mozzarella. It is worth it. Yuengling beer goes well with all things Italian.
We had five different entrees and honestly, they were very good. I think anything on the menu would be worth your money.
Moderna Pizza was a great mix of flavors. Don’t like greens on your pie? The arugula adds something awesome to this no meat pizza. The NEW! Capricciosa was outstanding. Artichokes and ham were very complimentary. Chicken Parmesan was classic with the pomodoro sauce. Gnocchi Lebanon is outstanding with the cheese in the Pompei sauce. Finally, you better be hungry if you get the Spaghetti Salento! Great portion and a good ratio of seafood to noodle. The Calabrian chili on it was just enough to add the taste without the heat.
I wholeheartedly recommend this location for good food and a great...
Read morePiola DORAL is a good casual restaurant located in Doral FL. I visited yesterday for the fourth or fifth time but the experience was extremely bad, super sad because I use to go but not anymore. I went with my 2 kids 7 and 9 years old, the person in the front told us to wait to clean and give us a table. We went to the bathroom and there was a couple waiting, after 10 minutes waiting they called the couple, then another group of people (6) announced in the front and 10 minutes later a person from the restaurant called them for the table. I respectfully asked the person what happened and a men in her 50’s-60’s that I thought was the “Manager” answer me in VERY VERY BAD MOOD, with attitude and was disrespectful in front of my kids. He said that they were busy, which I understand but he said that “he does not know why he sat the other two groups before me, that if I wanted they can seat me in the next 2 minutes but he was super disrespectful. In that moment I hold my kids hands and walked out and I didn’t say a word.
It is obvious that they does not know how to handle this type of situations, nor if they are busy. BTW it was not full, was saturday around 9:30Pm but I assume because of COVID they are working with less employees IDK but it was a mess, it is sad and embarrassed that people like that represent the restaurant and treat the...
