Clean, Friendly, and Delicious with lots of control on dietary concerns.
It's a clean and friendly Korean café with quick service and tasty food. They were really helpful when I asked about allergens. Also, they have this cool little call button, in case you need the server. Wish there was more of that in the world.
They have an options to build a bowl of soup. I chose "sour spicy crossing bridge rice noodle soup." See the pic. Basically, they bring a bowl of boiling broth with an assortment of additives. There are things like corn, tofu, bamboo, quail egg, crumbled pork, mushrooms etc. I started with the big strips of beef, which cooked in the broth. Then, I added the things I wanted to make a tasty, allergen-free soup. Rice noodles are included to add or eat separately.
On one visit, I had the rice noodle soup with braised bone-in beef, which was delicious but has all the stuff already added, so I had to pick stuff out of it.
I had the brown sugar sticky rice which was delicious. It reminded me of the mozzarella stick that had a delicious gooey inside with a little crust on the outside. It is gluten-free and dairy-free but with a soy powder on top that they'll leave off on your request.
It's probably best if you don't take your cotillion date here unless you're securely past the third date. Handling the meal was awkward. I was trying to eat a big piece of beef without a fork, or knife. Additionally, I was trying to shovel long slippery noodles with chopsticks and a spoon. If you do decide to take your date here, there are some really safe things like crispy chicken with rice and, weirdly, Cajun fries.
My kid had a crispy rice cutlet with rice and broccoli. She liked it. It's not gluten-free and has a lighter crust than most fried chicken.
So, it's an adventurous meal for the average American. If you're game for that, this seems clean,...
Read moreThe place is very nice clean. The service is fast and ver friendly. The food is pretty good. Hot noodle is best in cold weather. The affordable price makes it easy to try several appetizers at the same time. They are small portions like tapas but have a good variety.
We ordered Signature rice noodle with braised bone-in pork for entree. I like the super boiling broth, the mild flavor suits me well but my bf preferred more flavor dish so next time he will try the spicy one. For appetizers, we had: Marinated pork bone Deep-fried spring roll Deep-fried mini bun Fried fish tofu Brown sugar sticky rice
All appetizers are good. We had so much so we to-go the mini bun. When I reheated the mini bun in microwave at home, it get harden (I put them up for 1 minute but maybe that's too long) and hard to eat so I would suggest not reheat the bun in microwave if you had it to-go or overnight in the fridge.
We had hot tea and hot soy milk for drink order. It was a cold night out so we didn't get to try their fancy cold drink. It's fresh soy milk, not those from the can or bottle, so it's a plus to me.
Overall we had a good experience. We also like how late at night the restaurant open; it helps a lot with us night owl people....
Read moreLimited parking by the restaurant. There are a lot of restaurants within this small plaza so it fills up pretty quickly.
Menu is pretty expansive and you have quite a few drink options available too.
Salty crispy chicken: basically the popcorn chicken you get from boba stores. But this one was borderline too crispy and many had almost no chicken in it.
Mini Chinese Fritters: was meh, it wasn’t fluffy enough for me. Too doughy.
Brown sugar sticky rice: not too bad. Definitely more like a dessert, since it is pretty sweet.
Bean noodle in chili sauce: not how I thought it would taste. I have had this dish at various places, but the noodle is maybe not the same? Tasted more healthy if that makes sense.
Signature Rice Noodle Soup with Braised Bone-in: the broth and everything was well balanced and taste delicious! Good amount to share between people if you get other dishes. Meat itself was easy to get off the bone. Loved the broth!
Boba drinks: meh…would skip it from here. There are so many other options right in the area.
Overall would go back for the rice noodles. Appetizers was average....
