I've driven by this place for years and never had any idea what I was missing... this place is AWESOME!! I love the atmosphere-- very clean, soothing classical/jazz music in the background, lots of tables, free wi-fi, and easy parking. Most of all, the prices are VERY good and shockingly reasonable (price range of $1-$3 per item)
The desserts are AMAZING. The majority are all individually wrapped, so it's easy to by several and eat them at a later time without having to worry about them drying out or getting stale quickly. The rest of the desserts are in a display counter (mini cakes, mousses, and tons of macaroons). The lady helping me suggested the Black Forest Cake. They also seem to have a nice assortment of coffee-house drinks.
I was only able to try a couple of the wrapped desserts but each was delicious is their own way!
The woman with glasses and dark hair working at 5:30pm on 3/25 doesn’t know what customer service is. We ordered two drinks. They were out of one which I normally get, and she tried to bully me into ordering something I didn’t know if I would like. I asked her if I could try it first, just a tiny drop before committing to spending $7 pre-tax on a drink, and she took an attitude and acted like I insulted her personally. I walked out. Absolutely absurd. She should not be in customer service.
Editing to reply to owner-- Nah, that's not true. She showed me the jug she had of the tea I wanted to order and said "We don't have enough left for another serving." She literally showed me the pre-made liquids. The drink I asked about after was the same type of tea, just a different flavor. She had a jug right there. Also, that still doesn't explain where her attitude came from. There was no misunderstanding, just attitude. And this non-apology you've written is frankly worse than not responding at all. I won't be...
Read moreMozart Bakery was a disappointing experience. It has decent reviews, so we stopped by to grab some dessert after having pho at an establishment down the road. The decor and ambiance is nice. It is a clean, bright coffee shop/bakery. This is the main reason they are receiving two stars. Sadly, there is not much selection regarding cakes. Also, the staff behind the counter were rather rude. We asked if they had a coconut cake and we were informed that, "we are a proud Korean bakery, we only offer Korean bakery items, coconut is not native to Korea, so we will not have coconut cake. If you want coconut cake, maybe go to a Filipino bakery."
Umm....hmmm. The bakery is called Mozart Bakery. How were we supposed to know this?
We ordered buttercream cake, mocha cake and macaroons. The mocha cake was good, buttercream cake and macaroons were dry and a bit stale. Also, aren't macaroons French? All in all, an underwhelming and overpriced experience ($17.00).
I wouldn't...
