Sinaloense Pollo Asados — Restaurant in Doraville

This was our first visit here. I have passed it several times, and wanted to give it a try. When we came in we were greeted warmly by the server, and then we seated ourselves. She came over quickly and asked us if we knew what we wanted. I explained that it was our first time there, and asked if she had any suggestion. She suggested the tacos. We ordered a few steak tacos and a half chicken meal. The server stated that the meal came with beans and asked if that was okay, we said yes. Everything was fine until the bill came. There was a charge on the bill for either 1.79 or 1.99. I showed her the bill and asked what it was for, and she said oh for the beans. I explained that she said it came with it and was not aware that we were being charged for it. She said yeah people usually order them when they come eat. I said well we explained r o you that this was our first time here, and reminded her that she said they were included. I asked if she could remove the charge and she said she could not. Although this was a miniscule amount of money, it was still our hard earned money. We were I'll informed therefore it should have been an easy fix, just remove the charge, and now we know for next time. Well needless to say she did not remove the charge, which negated a rather healthy tip that we were going to leave. We have both worked for tips, are over tippers, and saw that she was in there hustling. That being said a little good will goes a long way. The food itself was good. The chicken tasted like it came right off the grill and the green was delicious. Those surprise charge been were tasty too. Well now we know and we will give them another shot. I suggest you try...

Wow, what a wonderfully tasty experience. From the get-go, the overall takeaway is that this place is a winner.

From the moment you step out of your car, the grilled meat smoke billowing out of their chimney smacks you. The smell entices your taste buds.

The avocado salsa that accompanied the chips is amazing. What depth of flavor and just the right heat. It's spicy for those who do not prefer spice. The same salsa is outstanding on tacos 🌮 👌🏼.

I wanted to try a few different, so I ordered pork in salsa Verde, Pollo asado and carne asada tacos. The pork is out of this world good. It was the overall winner 🏆 🥇. The carne asada was darn tasty, as well, coming in 🥈.

The amount of flavored cooked into the charro beans 🫘 is eye poppingly wonderful. Another hit was the guacamole. These guys nailed it.

I am so glad to have stopped in for a bite. I can not recommend this Mexican restaurant more. My next visit, soon, will see me ordering the quarter chicken. It looks and smells incredible.

down — zero friendliness, zero effort, just straight-up attitude like she couldn’t be bothered. It honestly felt like we were a burden just for existing in her section. But the real kicker? When we paid — and left a generous cash tip, over 20% like we always do — she had the audacity to accuse my partner of not tipping on a past visit (which is completely false) and basically demanded a tip on the spot. Excuse me? You gave horrible service, and still felt entitled to call us out — loudly — over something we didn’t even do? Absolutely unprofessional, disrespectful, and embarrassing. Let’s get one thing straight: tips aren’t automatic, and they sure as hell aren’t earned with an attitude like that. If you’re going to act like customers owe you something, at least do the bare minimum of your job. We were polite, paid full price, tipped anyway — and still got treated like trash.
