Bambino's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Dormont

TL;DR: Tasty pizza, really like the sesame garlic crust a lot. Wish I could change the sauce on specialty pizzas online but will try calling to order next time. Wings are great. Fries are nicely seasoned and not bad, very rare at pizza joints. Delivery fast and very polite customer service. We've already ordered again.

I finally tried Bambino's a couple weeks ago - they were the fastest option listed on one of the delivery services, and we were hungry. After ordering, the delivery window got bumped back a lot and it said the restaurant delivers their own orders. I was frustrated, not gonna lie. I had that lead to not getting food on a few orders from other places. I ended up calling the restaurant to see when our food would arrive and they were super nice. The driver also called to make sure we knew it had arrived - only 10 minutes past the original estimate.

We'd ordered pizza - one cheese, one gyro pizza. The sesame garlic crust option (free!) is to die for if you love sesame seeds, as I do. Reminded me a little bit of Turkish cimit bread. The gyro pizza had a ton of nicely charred onion which made it super delicious. It would be great as a vegetarian option without the meat, for sure. The cheese pizza was good, too; not super remarkable, but that's a good thing when you just want some unchallenging, tasty cheese pizza.

The next time, I added wings and fries to the order. I requested the wings fried hard, because I do not like flabby chicken skin at all in any way. They did that, they were so crispy but yet the inside was juicy and delicious. I wish they had more flavors. The fries were good, too. Not soggy, not burnt, not fresh-cut but good, solid, everyday fries. They season them! Amazing.

This place is listed as Joe & Pie on Grubhub as well as the actual Joe & Pie app, which is concerning as it is. I ordered a pizza around 6:20 today and got a notification that it would be there in 20-30 minutes. When it still didn’t show up at 8 I called and got rudely bounced around on the phone between the staff there only to find that they had just up and forgotten to do my order. I had to confirm my name and address three separate times to the same person and was told it would be another 20 minutes. I’m currently waiting as it’s creeping right up on the 20 minute mark. I’m going to be reporting them to Grubhub for not changing their name and potentially the BBB.

THIS PLACE IS NO LONGER Joe and Pie!

it was super grime-y to use their name and just send your food to people who thought they were ordering their usual. One day, we ordered from what we thought was Joe and Pie and immediately noticed the dramatically lower quality of the food. The veggie pizza had different veggies, way less toppings and had toppings that we didn't want. We were pretty disappointed but thought it was just cut backs.
