Our service was OK. The food was OK. It's Taco Bell. We knew what to expect.
The thing that kinda ticked me off was the staff. While they were nice to us and we had no issues with our visit, but while we were ordering they decided they didn't want to deal with a dining room and a drive thru, so they locked the doors at around 6 PM.
We were SO happy to find a place where we could come in and eat. With COVID and staff shortages, finding a fast food place where you don't have to eat in your car is rare. We watched several people try to come in only to find the doors locked. You could see the disappointment as they got into their cars and drove away, not to the drive-thru line but away.
While I know the staff isn't worried about the loss of revenue or the hard feelings they created, maybe the owners will read this and maybe they will care. Now I'm sure they will claim they were understaffed and couldn't do both at the same time. But the conversations between staff members, that could be heard in the dining room, indicated that they just didn't want to deal with both.
I know there are real staffing problems everywhere, but we shouldn't allow this to become our excuse to...
Read more7 or 8 cars total on the premises. This was just before 11pm. I pulled into the drive thru where one car was ahead of me and waiting to place an order. My window was down, so I heard them ask the driver to hold for "a moment". After more than 10 minutes had passed, and another car had pulled up behind me and left, I realized that the car ahead of me was still waiting. So I decide to see if I could go inside and order, and I pulled around the building and parked, but the door was locked when I tried it. After returning to my vehicle, i decided to try the drive thru again (I had my heart set on a chalupa), but when I pulled back around, the same car was still there and waiting. I pulled around them to let the staff know someone was still waiting after a long time (I had given up on my chalupa at this point), and the lady who answered the window just kept repeating that they had big orders. I pointed out that the car ahead of me was still waiting after all that time and wished them...
Read moreWorst experience ever. They didn't have anyone running the register. Even though there were plenty of people working. Forcing customers to use the kiosk. I'm not necessarily opposed to that if it gets me in and out faster, but after we ordered and waited for our food once it was ready, we were informed there were no nacho fries. Why not simply put a sign by the kiosk that says, "Out of this or that, Sorry for the inconvenience"? While they offered to replace it with chips and cheese, I chose just to get my money back. Only to be told "that's gonna take awhile" 😒 We get the rest of our food. No cups for drinks even though we ordered them so again to stand in line and wait for them. Get cups and no Baja Blast. I mean, don't most people go to Taco Bell and get that particular drink 🤷♀️. Not to mention, when you leave, you are forced to go south on 231 and wait at the light if you need to go north. Just save your time and go...
