If you have over 2 hours to wait for 2 iced coffees and a breakfast sandwich, which we never got,, this is the place for you. I would have given it no stars if I could. People behind us got their drinks and food before we did. When I asked them about at least our drinks, they seemed like I was bothering them and offered up no explanation. When I checked after an hour, my drinks were sitting on the counter with melted ice, after they had said they would bring them out. When she tried to give them to me, I asked for fresh. She didn't know how long they had been sitting there. I had to ask for one to be made again because I ordered coconut milk and she made it with regular milk. She said they were incredibly busy, but we saw people come and go after us with their food and drink. There were many other people that were waiting like we did. I always prefer to use locally owned businesses, but am really wishing there was a Tim Horton's nearby. I finally went in a 3rd time, approaching 2 hours, to ask about our single breakfast sandwich again after I asked a couple, who walked in, got their food, and left said they ordered theirs a half hour after I did. They didn't know where my sandwich was. They could have just made it right there as I made it evident that everyone else was served, even after we had ordered ours. They didn't. At that point, I just asked for a refund because they have no clue about customer service. They refunded my sandwich, which we were looking forward to, after a long morning hike. Believe me, I was calm, and didn't talk down to them, but was very frustrated and voiced...
Read moreA cute place with so much potential it has air condition seating inside a very large patio outside in the sun also one in the shade. It's funny this place is called cappuccino because they don't know how to make one we got one and it seemed like coffee mixed with some milk it wasn't a proper cappuccino with the foam on the top. The lattes seemed watered down you couldn't taste the coffee. Even just the plain brewed coffee was lukewarm. The avocado toast was excellent and the tourist wrap was delicious but I found the fruit to be a little bit off some of the strawberries were wilted a little bit and some of the blueberries were soft and gushy. I also found it odd in a tiny place like this with only two or three customers they put the food and the drinks on the front counter and don't bring it to your table and then there's nowhere to get the forks and napkins so you have to repeatedly ask them for things like that because they didn't think to put them out with your food. Unfortunately it seems training is very much needed here and some better customer service policies. We had three coffees and two breakfast items and it was $36 so for this price you would expect proper training and quality control. I let the staff know that the water jar was empty and 10 minutes later they still hadn't filled it up so I didn't...
Read moreHonestly I’m heartbroken on why I have to give two stars and it’s mostly from how I was yelled at by some lady sitting inside with her friends (not sure if she worked there or not) aggressively saying I can’t bring my dog inside. It was so unwelcoming with an aggressive tone where it was within seconds of me entering this cafe for the first time ever. It’s also my first time ever in Douglas and the only person of color around and it was humiliating. There’s no signs that say no dogs allowed in and I saw a description that it’s dog friendly. There’s so many other ways she could’ve said it as I don’t mind being informed of that. However, her tone was extremely harsh to the point where people were staring and I just froze. It didn’t leave me with a good impression at all and honestly hurt to process after. Also the macchiato was not great either - the espresso in...
