I visited recently this past Saturday, July 26, iāve visited this exact location for years since I was in high school, and this was the worst experience Iāve ever had and certainly the last time Iāll ever go. As I placed my order, the cashier was extremely kind and pleasant to speak with, she took my order and affirmed me my number to wait for my order that was placed. It was taken immediately as it was a very short weight to place and pick up the order. There were maybe two or three people that had placed their orders ahead of mine that weāre waiting for their food at the other end. As the people ahead of me collected their orders and left. I continue to wait and wait and wait for mine and as I saw, I was certain that my order had been prepared. I stepped forward. My number was 22, the woman set three orders to the side so I assumed maybe they were call in orders or a large order that weāre all together and I misinterpreted it what I saw as my meal. She then proceeds to call out after preparing those meals and setting them aside maybe 10 or more minutes later and yells 19, then yells 20 and then as the woman walks away suddenly realizing a minute later as sheās moving through the mall food court that she had given away the wrong order and I was 22 and she looked at me and I stated Iām 22 as of a question because of the way that she looked, and as she yelled after the woman, I did not hear her. She said I just gave away your order to her and said I didnāt mean to and then proceeded to look around the area. She did not come from behind the bar. She did not offer to replace my order. She did not even try to advise me of what she could do to replace my order. Essentially, she just stopped looking at me and talking to me altogether. Another customer went after her a minute later after a few minutes, and Iām not even sure where they went. Did they both walk back over to the restaurant with the food? She handed it to the woman the woman handed her her order and the woman had me the food that she walked off with. I asked her this is what youāre gonna hand me food that Iām not even sure was open she said I didnāt mean to give it to her and then ignored me. I was so baffled by the experience and so disappointed and after spending almost $30 on a meal that I was super excited to eat and share with my Niece, I couldnāt even offer my niece some of the food I couldnāt eat it myself. I tried to wait and not be bothered by the experience, not cause a fuss not complain. I was super hungry when I ordered, but by the time I had the food in my hand, I wasnāt even sure if I felt comfortable eating it. I held onto the order, but ultimately ended up throwing it away. I felt so disappointed by the lack of Customer Service by the lack of response by the lack of responsibility. After years of going to this exact location, I will now never go again. I was never offered a refund. I was never offered for my food to be replaced or recooked just handed it to me and ignored. I will no longer advise anyone to eat here. This was such an extreme disappointment, and I wasnāt even sure who to even speak to about my experience. The receipt didnāt advise any type of advisement of where to submit my complaint so to Google reviews I had to go. Donāt go here. Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE: 2/22/25 so after my last experience I decided to give this spot one more try by ordering a veggie combo that came up to $16. I asked for Provolone cheese no mayo, no tomatoes no lettuce which I had to state multiple times to the cashier. I got a sandwhich with several cheeses on it. I told the boxing up woman I asked for provolone, she proceeds to explain to me how the sandwiches come with three cheeses, I said yes I know which is why I ordered provolone. She explained to me three more times the sandwiches come with three cheese then said I should have told the cashier. I said we did tell the cashier, I have someone with me as witness. She said you have to take this. I said no I will not, so the cook had to snatch the box from her put it in the trash and make another all because the cashier didnāt listen multiple times. These two women are stressing this man and me as a woman so I will never return. I order from Charleyās at Arbor Place at least twice a month, and usually love it. But on September 8th, 2024, I decided to switch it up and go after lunch to get a Chicken Philly instead of my usual veggie or steak. I was really disappointed when my sandwich arrived. It didnāt look anything like the picture or the other steak Phillies Iāve had before. There were barely any mushrooms, onions, green peppers, or provolone. I had to ask them to add more, and while the customer service was friendly, they acted like I was making a big deal over nothing. I just donāt understand why my sandwich couldnāt look like everyone elseās it was almost $14 for a chicken combo, I go other places and pay that for steak Phillies! Don't order any delivery or pick up. I've ordered through doordash, uber eats, etc and for pick up (by me) and no matter what they refuse to make the food stating they haven't been paid. The first time it happened I let it go due to technological error. Things happen.
After the third time I put in a pick up order and yet again go there to hear they didn't make it because they hadn't been paid. To only end up paying for it (again) and then had to fight my CC for a reversal. ON TOP OF experiencing the same thing from different delivery services (drivers call me to explain the hold up) and in person you have to look at the common denominator. Charleys.
At this point I dont know if its a scam or something is wrong with their system but I'm over it and they are rude about it saying its not their problem to fix and offer no help and will argue over them having to do nothing on their end even after showing them the payment was processed. They want you to pay again. Never again in person, delivery or anything else.
At this point I know its not happening to just me to be happening so frequently and yet they still do nothing on their end to fix...
