Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Douglasville

Sunday, April 3, 2022. Waited 45 minutes to be seated which was fine. Once seated and greeted, we immediately ordered our drinks and food. Our server, April, informed us that our food would be out shortly. Soon after she brought out our appetizer and bread and water. We then waited around 45 minutes for our main course when April notified us that it would be coming soon and that they had to replace the paper in the ticket machine (not sure what that means). After another 15 minutes I requested to speak to a manager because there is no reason we should have to wait that long especially when people who came in after us already received their food. The manager, Amanda, came to speak to us right after our food came out. I explained that we have been waiting a hour for our food and her response was that there was no red light in the kitchen and that the food was prepared within 14 minutes of it being put in. I once again explained that we had been waiting an hour and that it had nothing to do with us, that it was prepared within 14 minutes of being put in when I ordered it a hour ago and all we ordered was two orders of chicken and broccoli and it had just came 30 seconds before she walked up. She followed with she’s glad we received our food in a smart manner and she would check the tickets but never returned after that. The table next to us also had a long wait and told us that they received a discount, but we were never offered one. I asked April about the discount and she said the other table never got one. I’m not sure why the other customers would “lie” about getting a discount to complete strangers but ok. I gave this review two stars because the food actually was good and fresh when it finally came out. April had great customer service and I don’t blame her at all. Management definitely could...

It saddens me to say that my experience wasn’t the best. I’m hoping it was just an off night, however, I don’t think I will return to this location.

Upon walking in I was greeted by the hostess who was very welcoming and greeted me with a smile. The establishment was very clean and displayed the rustic Outback look that we have grown to love.

Upon being seated, I was greeted by my waiter who was pleasant and all smiles. Upon ordering a Lemonade I was advised that the restaurant was all out of lemonade so the option of any Lemonade based drink was out of the question. And so it begins!

Upon placing my order I wanted a side salad but the restaurant was all out of Caesar Dressing…. At this point I’m ready to just go home and call it a night however, considering I had driven 30 minutes to get here I decided to stay.

Throughout the duration of my stay my waiter was absent. I only saw him 1. When he delivered the drinks. 2. When he delivered the food. And, 3. When he delivered the check. There was no variation of check-ins, nor was my drink refreshed without a formal request. #Sigh.

The food: My steak was absolutely delicious. It’s something about a Steak from Outback that is unmatched. It was well rested and the perfect temperature. Perfectly seasoned and truly made with care.

The mixed veggies tasted just like steamed veggies. Nothing special. No seasoning. Truly bland at its finest. However, they had the perfect firmness and with a little salt and pepper, they were a great pairing with the steak.

Overall my experience was below standards from a customer service standpoint as well as with reference to what I have come to expect from the Outback brand. If you’re in the area and in the mood I suggest you...

Me and my friend went to the Douglasville, GA location for my post-birthday dinner. We were greeted warmly by a gentleman who let us have our choice of seating. Once seated, we waited about 2-3 minutes before our waitress (Sunny) came over. She was very pleasant and friendly. Sunny took our drink and appetizer orders then came back a few minutes later for our food orders. Our appetizer was brought out in less than 10 minutes and was piping hot. Five minutes later my salad was delivered exactly as I requested. About 15 minutes later our entrees came out. All food was hot and delicious. Sunny periodically checked on us and made sure we had what we needed, including any extra condiments. My order of pork chops was delicious. I could only eat one, so I had leftovers to take home to share with my mom....which brings me to my reason for 4 stars. I ordered the pork chops to be cooked medium well. The one I ate was cooked perfect and was tender and moist. Unfortunately, the one I took home was a little on the dry side. If I ordered them again, I would order them cooked medium. I would also suggest that both meats be monitored for even cooking based on the customers preference. Had I discovered that while at the restaurant, I would've brought it to Sunny's attention. I have no doubt that she would've made it right by having another one cooked. Her service was excellent and we will definitely ask for her area on our next visit. Finally, we appreciated the manager coming over to check with us twice to make sure we were okay. He was quite friendly as well. Overall, it was a great outing for us and we will definitely visit this...
