Decided to get takeout pizza from TC's during my first trip to the area. I don't know what happened, but a crazy amount of people arrived in town one day and that night all of the restaurants were bursting at the seams. Many places were no longer accepting orders, so I ordered here. I arrived earlier than the stated pickup time after ordering online and my food wasn't ready-they were very busy. I went back to my inn which was 4 mins away and returned about 30 min later. They were 5X busier than they had been before. Staff were running around like crazy and people were packing in to the vestibule impatiently. Even the bartender, a blonde girl, was helping at the hostess stand and keeping her cool like a pro (somehow). I waited for a bit but after some time realized I probably wouldn't get that pizza, so I headed back to my inn. Later that night I called and spoke to Becky, the owner. She was so sweet and offered me either a replacement right then or a free pizza the following day. Let me tell you, I just picked up my pizza (and fried pickles, which they refused to charge me for), and it is all delicious. Not to mention they are understaffed and the same heroes who worked last night are all there today. Can't say how much I appreciate the hospitality, the effort, and the insane patience these people have-especially in a time like this. Thank you so much, guys. Will definitely be back next time I'm...
Read moreI really loved my experience here! Aside from the food being good and the portions being sizable, the vibes were very wholesome — the perfect après ski spot!
Prices were reasonable, the location is very close to most hostels/hotels in the area, staff was very friendly, service was pretty quick, menu had a surprisingly wide variety, and seating was easy even on a busy Saturday night.
Granted, we were only a party of 2, so that did make things easier. There did seem to be a bit of a wait for groups of 4 and above, so that's something to consider before going here. The place isn't very big, so I'm unsure if groups larger than 6 would work unless you call far in advance. There is also a decently-sized bar area, so if you're looking for a place to just have an après ski beer, you can find that here as well.
We ordered the ahi tuna nachos, clam chowder, burger, and BBQ flatbread — all of it was good! Only things were that the tuna nachos could've used a bit more of a savory touch, so in case the restaurant is reading this, I'd recommend marinating the tuna in some combination of soy sauce, mirin, and sesame oil. It'll make it that much better! The chips that came with it were nice and crispy otherwise.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a relatively quick, easy, and moderately-priced option close to Mount Snow. I'd come back in...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing! I worked in restaurants for years and this place has the mojo! We were seated right away with the option of sitting "on the river..." which we immediately opted into. Our server was prompt, kind, and extremely attentive. He overheard my wife talking about my birthday and at the end of dinner he came over with a dessert and the entire restaurant sang! The food was remarkable: I had veggie rolls to start and then wings and the mussels. I ate every last bite. My wife had the ribs while my kids got the salmon and the kid's cheeseburger (see photos attached, my daughter couldn't wait and ate half the salmon). Amazing rotating drink menu and they even make their own blue cheese! Whether on the side with wings or stuffed in an olive, it was so good. Lastly, we purchased a round of drinks for the kitchen staff and they rang a bell while cheering!!! Such a super cool atmosphere and a great place to relax after a long day of skiing or hanging on the mountain. Look, you can go to so many restaurants in Dover, but when we started discussing places with locals, they said hands down TC's is the family-friendly place to eat, and boy were they right! Allergy/diet friendly with tons of parking. Easy in and out and I am guessing the same for take out! Such a hidden gem in the...
