Stopped here for gas, coffee and lunch along a road trip where I've stopped at numerous different, but similar, businesses. I wavered between giving a three and a four-star rating. The delicious coffee tipped it in favor of four stars.
The thing that made me want to knock another star off and go with three stars was the lunch. I got the chicken strips and mac and cheese bowl, which is a huge dietary/caloric splurge for me, so I was very disappointed when I realized the chicken strips were of the pressed chicken/ processed variety and the mac and cheese was that soft overcooked pasta type with soupy, gloppy cheese.
In comparison with Royal farms chicken, this is a fail here. The Royal farms chicken tenders are real chicken and fried to perfection. I know that because I had another caloric splurge the other day lol. It's hard to eat well on a road trip! However, there were some healthy options on the Wawa menu, which I did appreciate seeing.
Bathroom was pretty clean and the gas pumps were just fine and plentiful. There were self help check out lane options and we were pleasantly surprised when an agent summoned us off of a line to her empty line, which I was impressed by because she could have just stood there and waited for someone to come to her instead of calling us...
Read moreWorst customer service I’ve ever had at a Wawa. I went to check out, and for some reason my PIN didn’t go through the first time. Instead of being helpful, the cashier flat-out told me I wasn’t allowed to get cash back from the register and that I had to go use the ATM. Fine. I went to the ATM it worked perfectly.
But when I came back, she had already canceled my order without even asking me. I told her I’d use the kiosk, but when I tried, it showed a transaction error. She saw me struggling and refused to explain what was going on. Then I had to stand in a long line all over again, only for her to tell me at the counter, with attitude, “Yeah, I canceled your order you’ll have to put it all in again.”

Read moreSandra who works overnight was very unaccommodating to me last night. First when making my food she told me I did not pay even after I did. When her co worker confirmed she still did not believe it until she realized she made a mistake and had already cleared my order from the screen. She then proceeded to apologize to her coworker and not me after I told her I was the one who should receive the apology. I then asked to have my chipotle sauce on the side for my quesadilla and she refused stating it was a new policy and I would need to be charged I explained to her this is no different than asking for condiments on the side. I asked to speak to the manager and found out that it was here so I will now be using this as a more formal complaint.
