Hall of Fame Market & Deli — Restaurant in Downey

I have been coming to this shop ever since I was a child, so about 35 years. It was previously called Hi-Ho market and we'd stop in after church on Sunday's to get a frozen yogurt. It is an awesome memory that I cherish. Surprisingly, the new ownership has not degraded the establishments ability to provide a memorable and pleasant experience. My mom and I stopped in the afternoon and decides to stay and have a sandwich since it seemed easy at the time. We were not disappointed and, quite frankly, were blown away with the quality of the sandwich we were provided. We both got a corned beef sandwich that was on special. It was served on toasted sourdough with coleslaw and some standard condiments. It was killer. I still have half of the sandwich and I don't want to eat it yet because I just like having it to eat and knowing what it is going to taste like.

The staff at this store have always been pleasant and welcoming. They hire well, and I've been pleased to see the quality of the younger people they hire over the years. It warms my heart as a man who was born and raised in Downey...it reminds me of the way things used to be.

The store has a number of cool Mediterranean items for sale you may find intriguing that I encourage you to at least take a look at. Pretty cool.

The store is always clean, the shelves are always in order, and the beer selection offers a number of craft and small batch beers. My personal favorite that I used to live to drink all the time is Mississippi...

This my first time at Hall of Fame Market & Deli in Downey. My wife and I also come to The annual Greek festival at the Greek orthodox church just next to the Deli store that why I was very curious about this Deli store. I know one of my friends tell me try out the sandwich and other items at the Hall of Fame market & Deli. I step in the Deli store to my left side is the Deli and the menu Deli and also you built own sandwich you need fill the order. I was looking at menu display and see what I like then I decided to order the turkey and cheese their way that's the owner was tell me then I order egg salad sandwich for my wife she loves egg salad sandwich.

I look around the store it very nice with baseball and other sports items in the store. The sandwich were really then I saw balaclava for dessert. The turkey and cheese was very good on wheat bread I enjoy but they also have different kind of bread to choice and other items you add to your sandwich and baklava was really good I realty like it very much. This is the second time in this really quaint small family Run Deli it is in the small part of Downey California on Downey Avenue it did I guess what you call a Greek Deli I think it has a lot of things that you wouldn't see in a regular store they make Fresh Sandwiches there to order they have sandwiches that are made in the morning everyday they have unique drinks that you don't see in every store I don't know it's a really special store reasonable prices my husband and I we shared a sandwich the other day before doctor's appointment which is before my doctor's appointment which is next door so in I really enjoyed going in the store have fun and enjoy something new in the store cuz every time I've been in there I find something...
