Beso — Restaurant in Downey

The city of Downey has come a long way.

Beso certainly is attracting crowds. It’s a new spot to have a cocktail and dance the night away.

No food served here.

I’m confused though; you share the building with Kuduowl Lounge, and same bathrooms, too.

Kuduowl is in the second floor above you and everyone enjoys the same music but your bars are ran by different companies and charge different prices for the same exact drinks!?

This just seemed odd.

Last night was good.

It could have been great but…..

You need to play more than just Latin music all night loooooong.

I love Latin music. I think you need to mix it up a lot more, Beso.

The cocktails are expensive for the quality. You don’t even serve Tito’s vodka.

Don’t get me wrong; Beefeater London Dry gin is an old classic but cmon.

Your cover charge is ridiculous! You’re not in Las Vegas and certainly not Hollywood.

I don’t know that I will be back. Doubtful…..

DTLA has so many more options and so close to everyone else.

Beso, got you outta my system. I came, saw and conquered.

I will say; something’s gotta give because at this rate you will not withstand the competition in the long haul.

My first time here and we'll it Suck! We were celebrating my boy's birthday at Joseph (which it was way better) my dumb friends decided to go check besos so I said let's go! 1245am it was 10 of us they wanted $20 per person just to be there for 30mns. I told the dude bro we're gonna spend money at the bar! I guess owners are desperate cus dude said No!! Also the place was empty and the crowd was nothing but 21 year old little cholos!! Maybe 2-3 decent females.they told my boy no hat and inside almost every guy was wearing them🤦‍♂️ we finally paid $10 each just to go see the inside. Un my opinion the place is nice but the vibe was wack!! Upstairs is nice but empty. The drinks not that good. I asked for kettle one and redbull dude gave me smirnoff 🤮🤮!! Now the exit!!🤣🤣 they make you exit through this pizza place so of course you can buy pizza cus why not leave what ever money you have left🤷‍♂️🤣 very nice club but too much drama to get in!! Give me my $20 or buy this $400 bottle or go away!! Seen it once and will not go back again!! People just go to Joseph better. Better vibe , better music and better...

Had great vibes, good security, and really good sound and lighting. Only issues were the time it took to re order more drinks. It shouldn't take 75 minutes to order another $250 dollars of drinks after buying 2 VIPs and the bottles. Plus it was 75 minutes after reaching out 3 times to different security and servers. The beers and seltzers we ordered did come in ice but they were room temperature when drinking. It could have been an unfortunate situation for us and I also believe that since it started raining they rushed all guests inside at once, not giving enough time to serve everyone at once. Only reason I'm writing this review is because I did like the place and want to go back but with better vip services. Besides that's, it was a good experience. If you are part of Beso, please don't take this criticism to heart, I'm just sharing my experience as a retired owner/promoter of night clubs. Hope to return soon. Fyi: maybe add some dividers to the VIPs by bar because many girls kept trying to steal our seltzers and beers. Specially when they see you...
