Update: I tried them all... and... THEY'RE ALL AMAZING! My favorite was definitely the rosemary, but literally I couldn't choose a favorite if I wanted to. Also, the jalapeno cream cheese is delicious, and the strawberry is super decadent. I'm hooked. (Also for all the reviews complaining that they don't toast, they don't keep that a secret. If you get bagels from here, don't whine about a feature they are clear they don't offer. Take them home, cut in half, toast! Super simple!)
I had never been to Jeff's Bagel Run, but it showed up on the Too Good To Go app, so I decided it was a good time to try it!
The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a good amount of options for both bagels and spreads, with some extra goodies - cookie bars and a rice crispy treat. I enjoy that they offer a "flight" which allows you to get 3 of the spreads, a great option for a first-timer. The bagels are fresh with a nice squishy inside.
I've only tried the plain bagel with regular cream cheese so far. I always like to start with the basic for a first impression. The bagel is phenomenal when it comes to texture. The flavor is good, but not stellar. I'd say that in the future the plain bagel would definitely be a vehicle for a flavored spread instead, in which case it'd be better than good.
For the "Too Good To Go" part of the review- I got the $4 bag (sm) and it came with half a dozen bagels, all different, which is awesome! Can't wait to try them! It was also ready to pick up when I got there, so that's another plus. The only issue is that they list the value of the $4 bag as a $12 value on the app, but if you order a half dozen from them it's only $10 - so they need to either adjust the value listed in the app to accurately represent what it would normally cost, or throw in a cream cheese or something to come out to the actual advertised value. It stands to reason that including a side of spread would only encourage people to try it and come back for more.
They also have a $5 bag, listed as a $15 value, and their dozen bagels are $17 in store, so I'm not sure what you wind up getting with...
Read moreIm from NYC and grew up on the best Bagels one could want. And Bialys. And home made flavored cream cheeses that were great. Too Jays in Orlando used to have good bagels but since theyve changed hands the place is awful. Einsteins Bagels is OK especially when there is nothing else. I was glad to see a new Jeffs Bagel Run near me and went there this AM to try it our. I was looking forward to really good Bagels and Lox for breakfast. This location is basically an order and take out location. The Bagels looked good so ordered a half dozen to try. The flavored cream cheeses all looked white no colors mixed in not a good sign. I oedered a small container of veggie. There wasnt much vegetales in the cheese. When I got home I was hoping to enjoy a great tasting bagel and coffee to start the day. The Bagels looked good smeared cream cheese on it and took a bite. The Bagel itself was tasteless boring and chewy except for the Garlic on it that tasted like very bitter herbs. The cream cheese had a very bland taste. It had flavorless red and green flakes in it. I didnt want to swallow what was in my mouth so I spit it out. I tried an Onion Bagel to see if that would be a better taste. It wasnt so I threw them out. Worst Bagels...
Read moreSunday morning, December 8, obviously a very busy time. We ordered & got our drinks after a while, then sat for a really long time to get our food. We noticed people who came in after us get their food & said something to the woman who took our order. Took her a minute then she finally said something to people who packed our order. We finally got our food, but no apology from anyone. Three of the 4 bagels we ordered weren’t even warm, so my husband asked if they could toast them. The guy working said “we don’t toast those,” but didn’t offer to warm them up. He must have seen the disbelief on our faces & heard us complain that they didn’t even say sorry for the wait, then offered to warm up our bagels or give us some to take home. By that time we had already waited so long, we just said “no thanks” and got out of there. I understand mix ups could happen, but if the woman who was working the register & taking the orders just said “ I am so sorry” we would have understood & everything would have been forgiven. But if I could give them 0 stars for customer...
