Came here for dinner around 5:45pm with my wife on a Wednesday. The restaurant was quite empty. The hostess and waitress were really nice. They sat us down quickly and took our order. We got a Korean rice wine and a Sapporo. We ordered a seafood pancake, pork belly and a Pork Bulgogi Marinated Spicy. We got our drinks quickly, then came the side dishes. The side dishes were kimchi, pickled radish, pickled cucumber, broccoli with sesame oil and sesame seeds, tomatoes and onions, and pasta salad. The kimchi, pickled radish and pasta salad were really good. The pickled cucumber, broccoli and tomatoes were a little plain, so we added a little salt and black pepper to them. We wish there would be more side dishes. The rice wine and Sapporo were good. The miso soup was super flavorful. We both loved it. The pork belly was really soft and flavorful, it was definitely high quality meat. The pork bulgogi marinated spicy was really flavorful and well marinated. The only thing was that they gave us 3 pieces of pork, the first slice was good, but the other 2 slices were bad. They were sour and funky, so the meat definitely went bad. We didn’t want to complaint or anything because it was whatever. We also never received our seafood pancake, so we told the waitress to not bring it out at the end when we finished our food. They didn’t charge us for the seafood pancake of course. I gave this restaurant 3 stars instead of 2 stars because this was our first time there. It was also our first Korean bbq restaurant in Orlando/Florida. In addition, the waitress was really nice to us, so giving the restaurant a 2-star review might be harsh because we’ve only been here one time. Side note: we also had really high expectation because we’ve been to many Korean bbq restaurants, and they all were really good and...
Read moreMy family loves Korean food and Korean barbecue, so we often eat at restaurants. So even if I pay a lot for food, I always enjoy the food. I was so hungry that I ordered 2 servings of seasoned ribs first. And the price was $43 per person. I was going to add more meat, but after tasting the meat and side dishes, I couldn't order any more. It was not delicious that we decided to just eat what we ordered and leave quickly. The meat tasted like marinated meat and wasn't fresh. There were 4 side dishes, but the kimchi and radish kimchi did not taste like Korean side dishes and had a strange taste that was old and hard to eat. We only ate meat, white rice, broccoli, and lettuce. In all Korean restaurants, the staff prepares 100% Korean barbecue. The staff was friendly and asked if I needed anything, but he didn't cook the meat for us. He left meat scissors and tongs. As guests, we grilled and ate raw meat ourselves. It was my first time eating grilled raw meat myself at a Korean restaurant. As someone who loves Korean food and knows how to cook, I was angry. This is because I thought it was a waste of time to spend over 30 minutes driving for Korean food, paying $117 including tip. People who are new to Korean food may have the impression that it tastes bad or that the taste of Korean food is strange. I thought about it. Real Korean barbecue is really delicious. But this place was really tasteless. It seems like it was cooked by someone who doesn't know much about Korean food. I think the food here really needs...
Read moreWhile the server was friendly, that's not what makes a restaurant stand out. All the food we ordered was bland and lacking ingredients. I didn't even take pictures of the ramen and the fried rice anymore because 1. The ramen broth was as clear as day- no flavor at all. The noodles that they used is definitely instant noodles. Anyone can tell. 2. The meat in the fried rice was so little and the flavor is bland too. It has vegetables but it looked like it was just mixed up altogether without any spices.
The sundubu, which is my ultimate favorite Korean food, the broth only tasted like onion leeks boiled in water. The beef they added on it was extremely tough, the broth was extremely bland and it was just spicy, no other flavor at all.
I have loved Korean food over the years and I even cook a lot of them personally and this restaurant is giving a bad impression. I have tried other Korean restaurants and they were all good- not even close to this awful experience. Too bad I was with my family too and they were clearly disappointed. I don't understand why they spend so much money on making the interiors of the restaurant look good but the food is below par. Yes, the ambiance has something to do with attracting customers. I'm sorry but people go to restaurants to eat food, not look at decorations. I wish they would improve their...
